I'm glad Weis is taking a no nonsense approach to recruiting. According the to the Orlando Sentinal, Urban Meyer sent this text message to QB Tim Tebow:

"TT, If we didn't need you, we'd be scoring 50 points a game right now. Heisman trophy, national championship, it's all here waiting for you. Coach Urban Meyer."

Hey coach, get off the kid's n*ts.

I hear Carroll takes a similar approach.

I dont know something about Meyer makes me think he is a shadey person. Once he went to Florida I really didnt have any hard feelings but since the season started what I have seen he just seems like a shadey character, maybe its just the way he looks.

He made the deal with Florida, then wasted everyone's time by having White and Co. fly out to Utah to interview for Notre Dame. He used ND as leverage and basically interviewed for a job he had no intentions of taking since he already took another.

I don't blame him for going down to Florida, but he was very unethical about having those guys fly all the way out there to meet with him.

I think the whole Davie clique will ultimately prove to be just shallow opportunists.

Think about Davie's testimony regarding Coaches Joe Moore and Lou Holtz (if I remember correctly, it was acknowledged that Davie purgured himself). Now, expand that out to the antics of the Davies and Meyers of the world since then. Think of their press conferences, think of their 'candid' statements.

There seems to be a tendancy toward disingenuous statements, and with more research we could probably put together quite the anthology.
