He's psyching everybody out. He'll limp around all week, limp out of the bus, and limp on to the field in to the huddle.

Then he'll drop back and commence beating PooPoo U out of their own house.

It's a common tactic.

Remember how Lou would play up a player with an injury? The way Lou used to make it sound, the player would be virtually on life support until he ran out of the tunnel for kickoff.

If Jimmy didn't finish the game the way he did, I might be worried, but he is a gamer and he will be there ready to go. Hopefully he will throw for about 400!

what are the odds BGIF??? Purdue is one of the teams I put in the category of "Strongly Dislike" thats a step above the "Hate" category.

That's awesome! Get Purdue concentrating on stopping what they believe will be BIG doses of AA and Jonas, then come out flinging it all over the place.

I love a good game of cat and mouse... As long as we get to play the part of the cat who doesn't go away hungry.

Not worried, Christ looked good every passing attempt he made and I don't mind him getting some playing time.

He did look confident didn't he?

"Turf toe" is a painful thing. It would keep the general public out of activities for possibly months. Let's hope Jimmy is a fast healer. I'm sure CW has a plan to protect, and the team will rise to protect him as well. They seem to have fantastic camaraderie.

Opened at 8 points and now down to 7. Think the over/under is 60 so they're theoretically predicting 34-27. I'll honestly take any win but I'm expecting us to win by 10+

Clausen was doing fine when the injury was fresh. I really don't see how it would effect his play in any major way.

agree i don't think it will affect him, but i'm sure the adrenaline he was feeling helped dull the pain. Arnaz Battle played the entire game at QB against Nebraska in 2000 with a broken wrist and then missed the rest of the year after that. Obviously not saying that will happen with Clausen but sometimes players dont truly feel the effects of an injury until after the game.

Clausen also has a week to practice with that hurt toe.

Yeah, but a hurt toe is a hurt toe. I've had turf toe before, very uncomfortable, and anything taking his mind off the play/game is not good. I rather him rest it for Wash. and let DC get some reps.

He played well with the injury, but it definitely affected him. He said it himself. He can't plant without being in pain. He had to make adjustments on the way he threw...his words. He also can't scramble as well, which is major. My buddy had turf toe one year when he played, and he didn't practice for 3 weeks, had to get shot up just to play the games, and was in constant pain any time he cut. He told me he couldn't imagine having to plant every time as a QB and actually make accurate throws. This injury, if it doesn't heal properly or quickly, can really affect him.

I hope it won't, but we shouldn't take this injury lightly...

He won't have a week of practice becaus e he is resting his toe. I believethe plan was him to throw a bit today and pick it up tomorrow. I think he will be fine, and hopefully we will ben winning comfortable to let Crist come in and give Jimmy some more rest.
