America First?
Note we are not talking about an overflowing border invasion on unforced errors and the ability of the president to not shit his pants or walk in public. Already an obvious improvement- but please, spare us the tired "Trump ruined everything" sob story. Your claim that his deals are just Obama’s reheated leftovers is laughable—Trump’s Iran and Houthi moves are restoring shipping lanes, containing Iran, and weakening the Houthi strike capability. Biden had pro-Iranian people in the administration (Tabatabai & more) . The Iran deal? Obama’s was a weak handshake that let Tehran run wild; Trump’s pushing for a tighter leash with real consequences, like holding Iran accountable for Houthi chaos and penalizing people who buy oil from Iran. Recall that Biden enabled the $$ to Iran to fund terror. Those tax cuts? Not just for the rich—millions of middle-class Americans kept more of their hard-earned cash, with real wage growth to prove it. Your "Dogey boys" jab is a reminder that Dems want waste, fraud, and abuse. Just look at the DOGE thread for a recent example. This administration’s incompetence? It’s all very stupid.

One trade ‘deal’ done, 199 to go
From CNN's David Goldman
President Donald Trump has finally gotten his first trade deal done.
Well, not quite a “deal,” per se. More like a concept of a plan: a framework for negotiations between the United States and the United Kingdom that will take place between the two countries over the next several months or years … to hammer out a potential future trade agreement … that may or may not ultimately prove more beneficial to the United States than the existing trade situation.
But a win’s a win, and this is a big win for Trump. The agreement with the UK also gives other world leaders a reason to hope that other deals can rescue the global economy from the abyss, providing a framework for future negotiations.
Asked whether the deal is an improvement on the trading relationship of six months ago, before Trump took office, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer replied Thursday: “The question you should be asking is: Is it better than where we were yesterday?”
Undeniably, the answer is yes. Even if the details of the framework are sparse, tariffs on some UK goods will go down, and it could open up the market for some more US goods to enter the UK.
Now, the dealmaker-in-chief just needs to get more than a hundred more of these done before the clock runs out on July 8 – when punishing reciprocal tariffs as high as 50% on dozens of nations are set to go back into effect.
It's what Trump is best at...and lol at renaming the Gulf of Mexico as a "big dog" move to the rest of the world. They don't carebut this is such a waste of time and money.
Bua, it’s the most consequential move in the history of any American president. I have heard exactly 0 people call it “The Gulf of America” since the stable genius renamed it.
She probably had to Google what you were talking about after.I actually used it once. I told a woman we were going to the Gulf of Amerca this summer. I have to say, she took it like a champ. Didn't even blink and said 'oh that sounds nice'.
Jeanine Pirro? Well that's quite the pick!

Look in the mirror—your side’s been peddling that same tired narrative since 2016 and all you're doing is calling this work stupid because Trump bad.

Donald Trump: Iran will be held responsible for Houthi attacks
US president says consequences of any future attacks by Yemen’s Tehran-backed rebels will be ‘dire’www.theguardian.com
Fixing Biden’s failure to contain (actual demonstrated incompetence) and saying it is the same as what Biden did is honestly just retarded.

Zero issue with legit criticisms. He says dumb stuff all the time, tariff rollout and timing wasn't amazing and effectiveness of this whole idea is TBD. He talked about a third term (though he has squashed that) and he is now stirring his base by hinting at raising taxes like a Democrat on the top bracket. I don't think the Ukraine stuff should have been done in public and he needs to move faster on pressuring Russia. The 51st state crap for Canada is dumb. Alberta maybe, but who would want the rest? It’s just egging on an unneeded discussion. That’s quite the rant and it seems like you have a hard time dealing with legitimate criticisms of the current president, even going so far as lying to defend him. That’s kind of strange honestly.
You are correct we are not discussing the border. Here’s some things we have been discussing air traffic control being a complete disaster due in part to a bunch of employees heading for the exists due to this admin, the Russia Ukraine war the was supposed to be over in 24 hours or whatever, the renewed genocide in Gaza thanks to Israel violating the ceasefire, the stock market going off a cliff, deporting citizens with no due process, suppressing free speech, violating the constitution in general, the Trump family’s financial conflicts of interest, measles outbreaks, and now a hot war between Pakistan and India. Good times!
As far as having to “Look in the mirror”? I’m not a registered Democrat and did not vote for Biden.
As far as the situation with the Houthis.

Houthis say US 'backed down' and Israel not covered by ceasefire
A senior official rejects US President Donald Trump's claim the Yemeni group "capitulated" when agreeing a ceasefire deal.bbc.com
“A ceasefire deal between Yemen's Houthis and the U.S. does not include sparing Israel, the group said on Wednesday, suggesting its shipping attacks that have disrupted global trade and challenged world powers will not come to a complete halt.”
That’s exactly what the Houthis were doing after Israel violated the ceasefire back in January and prior to the dipshit defense team jumping on Signal to plan their big “mission”, that is to say the only ships the Houthis were targeting were Israeli.
So yeah, after bombing the shit out of the place, killing a bunch of civilians and African nationals, having a couple billion dollar fighter jets fall off the deck of aircraft carriers and billions spent on ordinance and lost drones the Houthis almost managed to destroy Ben Gurion Airport and the situation is essentially exactly what it was five months ago.
DOGE?

DOGE says it has saved $160 billion. Those cuts have cost taxpayers $135 billion, one analysis says.
The push by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency to slash federal funding will cost taxpayers money, nonpartisan group finds. Here's why.www.cbsnews.com
“DOGE, says it has saved $160 billion through its push to root out wasteful or fraudulent government spending. But that effort may also have come at a cost for taxpayers, with a new estimate from a nonpartisan research and advocacy group estimating that DOGE's actions will cost $135 billion this fiscal year.”
That doesn’t even take into account the fact that the projected “savings” were two trillion and they likely inflated the $160 billion number and can’t even produce a coherent ledger to track their “savings”.

DOGE Savings Tracker Deletes More Claims, Reduces Potential DOGE Check Amount
A DOGE check proxy was adding to the DOGE Savings Tracker website, but more errors were identified too, reducing the savings from cutting contracts by billions.www.forbes.com
Look, I’m glad this moron came to his senses and is “negotiating” a deal with Iran to get us back to where we were in 2012 or whatever but yeah. I also think the recent maneuvering to put Netanyahu in a box is a positive development.
If I had to put money on it I would say many of these latest developments in terms of the Admin starting to distance itself from Israel have to do with the untenable position many of the wealthy gulf states have been put in due to the genocide in Gaza. We shall see.
No one. Literally. NO ONE is claiming that or thinks that is the issue....and if people are, then they are just using Trump's own words against him. Trump was the one who made the claims re: Ukraine/Russia timing, Israel/Gaza, the stock market, consumer prices etc. Are you now saying we shouldn't hold him to the promises he made on the campaign trail?or acting like everything should have been fixed by now,
1. What do you mean "so what"? Wasn't the entire point to have it work as they said it would? If any Democrat said "Hey, we are going to cut $2 trillion from the budget and save everyone a shit ton of money"...and three months later the head of the department was gone, the roll out was an abomination, they couldn't actually account/show any savings, and the savings ended up being $150 billion at most and may have come at a $130billion price tag..... you wouldn't be sitting here saying "so what". You'd be (rightfully) pissed off and hammering the Dems for it.but what if it isn't as great? So what? We're reducing government waste and spending
No there isn't.There is potentially lots of good that can come out of it
What's the long term plan? What are the strategic goals? What he's done with the border was amazing.
Cut waste, but have a 13% spending increase for the military? How much of a cut will be had when $122 million will increase in military spending, where we know there is a shit ton of waste, yet we never touch that...Dude's only been in office for a tad over three months and people claiming or acting like everything should have been fixed by now, when they know themselves this stuff doesn't happening a NY minute. They also act shocked when Trump makes a bunch of stupid claims or exaggerations knowing good and well that was his modus operandi the first time around.
Time will tell if the DOGE savings will be as great as predicted, but what if it isn't as great? So what? We're reducing government waste and spending. Why are people upset about that?
