Haven’t seen Tarrifs like Pelosi and Schumer promised in the 90’s. Finally a 90’s democrat follows through and weird new age liberals freak out. Hence elites/corporate controls 21st century liberals/marxists
These are what I'm sure you're refering to.

Look at that chart. Pelosi was actully fighting for our interests 30 years ago. She then became the best stock market predictor in the history of the NYSE.

I remember when nobody wanted China products. They were cheap and some of there products poisoned our children with lead on painted toys, along with choking hazards and many other default products.
I'm sure the facts are beyond the years of some of the posters on here, but It happened and now we created a super power that can dictate our markets from the tariffs they still take from us daily, It started after the Tiananmen Square fiasco (1989).
We should not be paying other countries for our commerce. It's not sustainable.

Listen to your leaders words and think why they never did it while stringing you along. Not expecting much with the gender obsessed crowd but food for thought

Wall st had a grand old time this past 50 yrs. But middle America’s wages not so much. It’s almost kind of surreal I’m not having democrats cheering Tarrifs this 30 yrs from the 90’s but that’s why Goebbels was right.

Trump is basically a genuine 1990’s democrat which is half the hilarity of these new gender obsessed liberals. Like that pays your bills.

Democrats know that if Trump pulls it off and brings back jobs to blue collar workers, they will be considered worthless. Why would anyone ever vote for democrats again? The purpose of politicians is not to solve problems, just to give the impression so they can stay in office.

Something about wanting men in women’s sports and illegal entry into US. It’s kinda sad the new age Dem ideas of prosperity. We all know the American dream aka homes aren’t affordable anymore

the slaps have come out against the tariffs.
No they haven't.

They were in here last night celebrating yesterday as "wins day" despite there still being 10% flat tariffs on everyone, 25% tariffs are Canada and Mexico, Trump announcing more tariffs are coming on lumber and pharmaceuticals, AND China still had 125% tariffs at the time(which apparently was a mistake and the WH had to clarify within the last hour that it's actually up to 145%.)

If they are so against them...where are they today?

Oh..and yesterday expanded the wealth inequality in this country. Trump openly bragged about it and billionaires got richer on the backs of your average citizen losing their ass in their 401k's et al.

You are absolutely clueless on every topic you discuss. It's pathetic.

So, with the gains so far today, the market is down 6.5% from the 4/2/25 closing amount for the S&P.

Does that seem reasonable?

I mean as things currently stand, we slapped 10% tariffs on everyone, simply stated we were "pausing" the other tariffs for 90 days, and started a huge trade war with China where we are slapping a 125% tariff on them.

It seems like a larger net drop would be justified and the market is simply knee-jerking.
S&P down over 5% today. The huge rebound yesterday seemed excessive and frankly not reasonable given the items I mentioned yesterday.
