Not sure if anyone else watches this on Versus, but it's pretty cool. I'll never follow it other than the Tour but it's interesting to watch.

Lance is the f'ing man

Watching the sprinters stretch it and seeing if the peloton can catch up. The whole sport is a giant mindF.

Not sure anyone here follows the Tour but Sepp Kuss won today’s stage. He’s the first American in 10 years to win one. Great ride today. Congrats to him.

I haven't followed since the days of Armstrong. Great story until the final chapter. Is the sport still plagued with doping or did they finally get that under control?

A few guys have been caught in recent years but the teams are dropping them immediately and there doesn't appear to be any "systematic" team wide doping like there used to be. All the "doctors" linked to previous transgressions are banned and riders cannot be in contact with them in any way.

And they now have "biological passports" for all the riders which can be used to find stuff that doesn't turn up in regular testing.

I’m probably a little more jaded but I assume most of these guys, as well as track and field athletes, are all doing something. Times are ridiculous in both and lots of track records have been broken recently, right on the heels of testing being largely suspended during Covid. I don’t sweat it and just enjoy the spectacle.
