Time for some USC revenge

I have been waiting for this saturday all damn year. Ever since that "Bush Push" I've been chomping at the bit to get back at these scumbags. Last year, I went from being at the ultimate high when Weis raised his hands in victory, 2 the ultimate low when the ref listened 2 Poodle's complaining and gave USCum another chance. Like most of you, this ruined my whole week and something that has bothered me all year. I can only imagine how the players must have felt. I have a feeling #10 didn't just come back for one more year under Weis but he also came back 2 have one last shot at the showboats from Southern Cal. To beat them on their own turf in front of their fans would be the ultimate feeling. To show that sometimes good guys do finish first. Weis has watched all offense and defensive plays that USCum has run all year. Do you think that he might want a little revenge for what happend last year? Of coarse. When he went 2 their locker room with BQ last year, it was not only a sign of respect but another type if motivation for him 2 use this year to prepare for SC. I have no doubt in my mind that we will come out prepared and ready 2 go. This is going to be a really emotional game with possible NC title hopes on the line. Will the DB's stop Jarret and Smith? No, but if we can limit their big plays than we have a great shot. I think the key for the defense is 2 set up blitzes and get through quickly. Like most QB's when Booty gets pressured he will force it and that is when we must come up with the big play on D, not only for the turnover but for confidence as a defensive unit. That type of a play will take SCum off their game and their crowd silent. This will be Booty's biggest game of his life. I like our chances, we have a QB that has been through everything. 2 coaching changes, hostile environments, etc.. Will Brady step up? I have no doubt in my mind. ND comes out with more heart and wins off of pure energy and emotion. 2 tell you the truth, this means more to me than our bowl game.

But a few things MUST happen. #1) No turnovers for the Irish. #2) Create at least 2 maybe 3 turnovers and capitalize on those opportunities. #3) Brady Quinn must have that "IT" factor. #4) Do NOT allow plays of more than 25 yards. #5) We MUST establish the run and use Walker, Aldridge, and Prince. I also think using the fullback in situations would be good, and last but not least...#6) Do NOT start off slow. We must start fast and finish "NASTY" dammit. GO IRISH!

it's gonna be more then payback,if usc wants to stand a chance,then they better hit the irish twice as hard as michigan did right off the bat.

At first i was hoping that this game would have been in the middle of the year,but as the season tugged along,now i'm glad it is in the end.

What I love about this matchup is that I think Weis understands carroll and will be able to otcoach him. I think we all know that USC has talent but I think it comes down to gameplan and heart. Plus we want to win this game bad. We should have won last year and we will win this year.

this is the last time i will even mention or think about a loss this whole week,but that(comment) is so true.

worst case scenario- a usc loss backed up with a bcs bowl loss.
In most critics minds...nothing has changed.I'm not that positive that much will have changed in my mind either except this is only weis' second year.That's not that great of an excuse either.Weis is way too much of a coach to let this happen.Lesser schools with lesser players have found ways to win.

I do too. I think Charlie should just go around screaming "Bush Push" every 5 seconds. Even have that playing in the locker room after practice. I know it would piss me off and make me mad as hell. I think the team will play with alot of heart and determination on Saturday. They want this game. There is no chance in hell that they come out flat. GO IRISH!!

For those who worry that the Irish will come off slow, you needn't. This game has been on their backs the entire year, and there is no way that they have not thought about it. The players realize the magnitude of last year's game and how they didn't win. This team, without a doubt, will come out on fire. There is just something that I feel that this team is gonna pull it out. An advantage we have? The majority of our squad was playing in last year's game. USC's team is almost entirely new. We have the emotion, we have the edge. Also, I think it would be great for ol' Lou to say something to the guys in the locker room to pump them up. I'm so psyched for this game, boys. Well said my friend. Notre Dame can not look at this game in a "revenge factor". They must focus on the game and not of last years game.
