I think I understand why he said what he said. He was trying to fire up the fans that were there. He's assuming that Michigan is going to have a bad year, and that they will make excuses.

If they don't have a bad year or they don't make excuses, then it was incorrect. If they have a bad year and don't make excuses, then incorrect. If they have a bad year and blame it on the things he said, then he was right.

Would I prefer him not give them pep rally quotes to fire them up, absolutely.

Yeah I don't really like that he said it. Quit ASSuming. Look at Charlie's first year, you never know what may happen. I wouldn't really mind him saying this in October or even before ND plays UM, and UM plays very poorly the weeks before, then he can talk. But ND went 3-9 last year, he really can't talk, in my opinion, we haven't shown anything on the field. Sure have the #2 recruiting class now, but it sure better translate on to the field. I hate to sound like a downer, but like SoCal said, don't give them any bulletin board material.

Your so right 3-9 we deserve all the hit we getting this off season. If this team doesn't improve it will be To Hell with Charlie Weiss next year.

Last season is in the past, bring on the "Hell with Michigan" attitude. I don't want Charlie or the team even thinking about last season. The "Hell with Michigan" is just how they should be thinking.

and I don't think bulletin fodder is going to be much help for Michigan that early in their season with RichRod.

last season is last season, its gone no taken it back. so we look towards this season and have a attitude that we are gona kick butt and take no prisoners. you dont know where you are going till you know where you've been,we were down last year now we will be going up
