The first time since 1992 that Notre Dame won't be televised on T.V. This CSTV is bullshit. Read that CSTV has exclusive rights to Mountain West games. That's laughable. I guess my boy Alan Pinkett on the radio will have to do. Let's GO Dame.!!!!!!

well. technically, they will be televised. they just won't be broadcast on a major network or on ESPN. Which does kind of suck. but if you seek it out, i'm sure you can find it somewhere. Any sports bar worth their salt should be carrying it. i'll be seeking out a decent bar in the next couple of days myself.

I am hoping and praying I get it on TV...

This is frustrating to say the least.

I'm driving the couple hours up to my parents house because they have CSTV. It's worth the drive missing an ND game seems like one of things in life no one should ever have to experience.

there was a rumor that CSTV was having a free preview for this weekend, i dont know if its true and ofcourse your cable operator will have to carry it in the first place. i ordered it before i knew. its 3 bux a month for the package and includes other fox sports channels which will be cancelled soon after :D

I think the free preview was for the online version. There was a pre-sale for SCTV $14.95 and for this weekend it's $19.95 to watch streaming video. We've added the sports package to our Direct TV for $11 and we'll get all the extra ESPN's and CSTV for the month of November. Look around--there is bound to be a better deal than paying for CSTV.

You all my sympathy on this one. Last week's Michigan game was on ESPNU, which is carried by one of the satellite services. So I missed, first game all season.

On the other hand, it was the one to miss

I see Ohio State and Michigan games more than Illinois and Northwestern. And I live in Chicago.

Hell, I've seen USC the past two weeks on Comcast. WTF?

ND might have NBC, but when the two Big Ten schools in your own state rarely show up on ABC or ESPN, I'd say there is an advantage there for the usual suspects that are the Buckeyes and Skunks.

CSTV is offering a free preview weekend on the television if your cable provider carries it. However it is up to your local provider as to whether or not it is going to be free to its customers. Check out this link. http://www.cstv.com/genrel/101206aaa.html it has all the details you need. Hope this helps.

Key difference: in seasons when M or O$U struggles, you see a lot less of them. If NW and Illinois ever get out of the bottom half of the Big 10, you'll see more of them. With the NBC contract, everyone gets a steady diet of ND, even when they don't deserve it, i.e. most of the Davieham era.

On the other hand, the NBC contract is cool in a year like this one, when ND is worth watching.

For the most part, you're correct Maison. How often tOSU and scUM are "down" remains to be seen, at least for me and most of my lifetime.

Even when Kittner was at U of I and NU had some success, their games weren't on TV each weekend.

Michigan and Ohio State are always good. They're always the blanket game for the region.

I just talked to Comcast in Pittsburgh, they carry the channel but were unaware of any free preview for the weekend. The cost is $4.95 a month and that seems like a small price to pay for watching the Irish on my couch. Sign me up.

hey irishtexan, i live in the southern part of the state and was trying to add CSTV for my Time Warner. Does CSTV come by itself or in a sports package? If its a package, do you know what that package is called? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Yeah dude, I called them and I think it comes by itself, but I also ordered the ESPN college gameplan as well. But I am pretty sure you can get the channel by itself.
