but can they take it. I know we all take a ton of heat from people who absolutely hate ND for one reason or another. We are all the butt of some jokes regarding a shortcoming of the team, a coach, a player or the school itself. So to release some frustration and have a good-natured laugh, can we all share some stories about ND haters who have said or done something stupid? Here's an example:

I know a hater who makes fun of Lou Holtz because he has a lisp. The funny part is this hater has a lisp as well. Have you ever heard a guy with a lisp make fun of a guy with a lisp? Priceless.

Theyre all just jealous that we have so many national championships and heisman trophy winners and all the tradition that makes Notre Dame so special.

I use to work with a fellow that was a huge Colorado fan. I remeber during the 2003 season he would get his digs in all the time about Notre Dame, saying they would never be an elite program again. Unfortunately this ass-wipe left the company before the 2005 season. I would love to call him up, and ask him if Colorado ever going in the right direction now?

I work with a schlep that went through the same degree program (Computer Technology) at Purdue U. and it just chaps his ass to no end whenever it gets brought up that I am a life long, die hard ND fan.......I love to remind him from time to time just to watch him blow a gasket. I can honestly say that I truly enjoy throwing salt on it and watching him burn! GOOD TIMES!


I suppose I should explain the Purdue thing....hey...came out of the Air Force and I'm still paying on student loans after using the GI Bill.....my lord I'd had to sell my soul to pay for our beloved Notre Dame!

The one that always makes me shake my head is the literal dozens of tOSU fans who take names like... NoterLame10, tGoldenHomer, NotresShame, they have a top program and still focus more on the jealous obsession with ND in more than just their screennames... yet point that fact out to them and watch the childish expolsion... my god!

or EVEN BETTER the dozens of posters throughout CFB sites who take less obvious names like #1Irishguy, Domerboy, GoldenGuy... stuff lke that then, proclaim they love ND, pretend to defend them and do so in just cartoonish and classless fashion and then act like a complete jackass otherwise... there was even a group of ND "fans " I used to talk to on the ESPN board who "loved" ND but hated God, thought young children were somewhat of a turnon, said they hated the troops as well as Bush...called them baby killer who should rot in hell, just sick stuff...damn near EVERY one slipped up or let their true heart show when tOSU would get beat up in a thread... My personal experience is that a good 9/10 of tOSU fans I have come across HATE ND... that's fine I guess, but I can also say a good tenth of those same fans PRETEND TO BE ND FANS to make us look bad as people in general... That should be in webster's under "definition of pathetic"...real sad part is... most average people buy into it...

Illinois fans who say ND couldn't compete in the Big Ten. Then I laugh and say, "ND beat more Big 10 teams this year then U of I has in the last 3 years. I'm pretty sure that stat is accurate. Don't get me started on their non-conf scheuling either. Such idiots.

I know a guy who is a high-ranking officer in the local AOH. Went to Catholic schools and everything. He hates Notre Dame and lives and dies by Florida State. I had to listen for years how ND would never be successful again, etc. Well, what comes around goes around. Florida State in the Emerald Bowl because his geriatric hero Bobby Bowden has lost it. With ND headed to consecutive BCS bowls, he doesn't talk much college football anymore.

I think they switched Bobby Bowden's headset with an I-pod playing Glenn Miller and Hank Williams. After 12 games, Bobby hasn't noticed yet.
