whoa my man, both sides have their share of oil whores, neither side is innocent when it comes to being in big oils back pockets.
Just ask Al Gore.

If bought sides weren't bought by big oil things would be different.
Let's face it, the Dems talk Green but they don't act it.
Democratic strategist, Bob Shrum, ripped Edwards in his new book. He gave him credit for his charisma & appearance but said he was "Bill Clinton w/o the books".
He also wasn't too keen on the gay community, so Shrum & his advisors immediately suggested he change his view if he wanted to be elected.
To be fair, Shrum probably has an axe to grind, b/c since his team lost the election for Kerry/Edwards, he's been a pariah in Dem. circles. Hence, a new book to hopefully make him relevant again. But if Edwards is spewing shit like that, he'll wish a $400 haricut was his only hurdle.
Gotta love politics!
Shrum is probably right on.
Edwards comes across charasmatic, blah blah... HOWEVER, he is NOT as smart as Clinton. Clinton for all his faults was a friggin genius. Edwards is not nearly as adept with policy or people.

The plan Mr. Edwards presented yesterday — which he dubbed "A Strategy to Shut Down Terrorists and Stop Terrorism Before It Starts" — calls for a 10,000-person "Marshall Corps" to deal with issues ranging from worldwide poverty and economic development to clean drinking water and micro-lending. He said investing in those areas would shore up weak nations and help ensure that terrorism does not take root there. That, he said, would allow the country to stop potential terrorists before they even join the ranks.
There are "thousands committed to violence" today, he said, and America needs to use all of its tools to go after them. But he said millions more people are "sitting on the fence" about whether to join those ranks. "We have to offer them a hand to our side instead of a shove to the other side of that fence," he said.
