Rumor has it, the color this year will be navy blue. Don't know if anyone cares but I figured I should "leak" the info, but if anyone asks you didn't hear it from me.

Thank God! A color I can actually wear outside of Notre Dame stadium.

ND should pick a color and stick with it. It would be great to see the whole stadium in one color - all gold (if that's what color the shirt was supposed to be) or all green. It takes time for that sort of 'tradition' to take hold. Changing the color every year doesn't help that.

One of the more impressive sights in sports is Busch Stadium during a Cardinals game (I hate 'em personally). The stadium is filled and it's nothing but red.

Sounds like Nebraska invasion a few years back.

I am not against changing shirt colors every year as long as the color isn't gaudy (this year), b/c it takes half a brain to figure out what color the Shirt is and what color you should wear. Figuring out black & brown don't match and all of that girly stuff, however, is a bit complicated.

maybe a stupid question....but can the official shirt only be bought on campus? I'd like to buy one online if at all possible

google is your friend...at least 2 or 3 places online you can get it IIRC.

Addendum to this comment: During Ty's Sea of Green Campaign, I think I was one of the few people who refused to wear Green, but instead wore Navy Blue every game, because those are our colors. When did we become Colorado State? At FSU, it also made it easy to pick myself out on TV when they showed crowd shots. Anyway, like I said, I am not opposed to changing colors every year as long as the colors are Navy Blue...haha.

One of the first "Shirts" was green back--in 1990 when we played Michigan at home. We wanted to make sure that we stood out from the UM fans.

Most years we have a green shirt are years when we play Michigan at home.

i like the green cause it stands out in the stadium...and...there arent very many big time football teams that have green as a color...so when people see green...they know its us

Last year, Weis came out and had an unveiling the Friday before the Spring Game. Last year's shirt did not please many of the students that were there as i heard many of them walking out the door saying, "Oh my God, they are yellow."
Green or Navy Blue would be just fine for me.

I say green. Other than Michigan State, it keeps our fans distinct from their fans, plus I just prefer green as the color. But whatever color they make it, I agree, they should stick with the color so the stadium is unified.

Still...green isn't our color. And, when you try to wear it out, I don't think it looks as good...Just my opinion, though. Whatever it is, I will go with it.
