yea well its expected when you beat a few ranked teams when nobody thought you had a chance against, i think they lose this weekend to vtech and oklahoma(or at least one of the 2) and we stop hearing about them so much

they are much improved and i like that some of the college football powers such as miami, fsu, and of course ND are coming back into prominence.

this is good a thing for ND...let Miami get all hype and let us go underneath the radar.

Jacory Harris??? puhlease...that dude will be playing WR in 2 years....he is a pretender, let ESPN hype him up, only to break him down at the end of year. I'd rather it happen to Harris and the phony Hurricanes, then Clausen and ND.

Jacory Harris couldnt hold Mr. Clausen's jock....just because ESPN hypes you up, doesnt mean you are good. He has lead his team to some wins, cant take away that from him. But if you compare QB skills between the 2, there is no contest.

I got a bunch of shit for saying last year that this year Miami was gonna be a team to reckon with. Matter of fact I had them playing Texas in my national championship game for this year.

Agreed jas, they deserve the hype. They've beaten REAL teams, while FL has beaten 2 JV squads and got by a Tennessee team that lost at home to a rebuilding UCLA team. I know FL was a great team last year and they deserve to be favored for a NC, but if you watched the 1st 3 weeks of games without rankings in front of each team, who do you think deserves to be ranked #1? Not FL, and definitely not TX. They may be there in the end, but if they didn't rank teams so damn early, they wouldn't be ranked so high, and Miami would. And TDHeysus, while I'm not a huge Jacory fan, I think you're being too hard on him. Through 3 games, he's been nails, and he's beaten real teams. He deserves to be in the Heisman hunt SOOOOOOO much more than Tebow and McCoy, as of today. You and I would rank JC first, but I could at least hear the argument for Jacory (and Best), much more than the other media darlings.

Having said that, Miami's schedule is brutal, their pass defense is beyond brutal (I've never seen so many guys get wide open like I did in the FSU/Mia game), and Randy Shannon is beyond beyond brutal (at least in season's past). They do deserve the hype, but I see them losing a couple games this year when all's said and done. I'd love for them to be ahead of FL, but I think they're a year and a coach away from being national championship contenders. But I've been known to be wrong before...

One thing that has really impressed me about Jacory Harris is how calm he looks when the pocket starts to collapse. He seems to keep his composure and find the open man. He's done a great job so far imo.

Jacory Harris is great.

I think Jimmy Clausen, Jacory Harris, and Ryan Mallett will become the next trio of Heisman contender quarterbacks, much like the Tebow-McCoy-Bradford of recent years.

i say jacory is a qb. my roommate is a big miami fan so i watch them play alot and hes GOOD. its not like hes just pullin it and lettin them go get it. hes puttin it on the spot, hes calm, accurate, agile. the guy is talented. needs size tho. he looks malnourished haha

I saw part of the Gtech game with Miami....this was before all of the Miami/Jacroy hype was in full swing. Dont get me wrong, i'm not saying he sucks, but his skills did not jump out and grab my attention. yes has won against 2 good teams, and directed his team on a good drive to the win, but that doesnt mean he has skills. JaMarcus Russell looked like a stud in college, and he has NO skills.

JC's skills jumped off the screen from the first snap of the Nevada game. Having a biased opinion, I decided to not say much about what I saw because it was only one game. In the Michigan game, JC was awesome again. Decision making, pocket pressence, laser accuracy, ball distribution, you name it, JC is off the charts with it, this is supported by his passing efficiency ratings. The MSU game, another great game from JC, this time while still playing at a high level, he sucked up an injury, and lead his team to victory.

I decided after the MSU that I will no longer keep my thoughts about JC to myself, dude is for real. I guess I wll pay closer attention to Jacory Harris this week, but he is still a pretender in my book.

I'm not sold on Miami in general, but I am sold on Harris. Guy is a winner. Led Miami Northwestern to 15-0 season his senior year there. I'm not saying he should be in the heisman mix, but I think he's a good qb who will most likely lead them to a bcs game before he graduates. And this pass was money....

YouTube - (HD) Jacory Harris leads the Hurricanes to a game winning TD vs. FSU

Just like JaMarcus Russell while at LSU. The hype said he was the 1st pick in the NFL.....that doesnt mean he has skills

There is too much hype around Harris but you can't deny he has skill...and you can't really deny Russell has skill either. Doesn't mean he is a good nfl qb but he certainly has a lot skill and talent. And just cause Russell hasnt developed as a nfl qb doesnt take away that he was a great college one. But if you think Russell has no skill then we clearly have a different definition of that word

Well - tonight's ESPN game was a love fest for Harris. He's been annointed. They love him. They threw on praise as Snead is watching any claim to the Heisman slip threw his fingers - one pretender down. He'll have to have a Godsend of a 4th quarter to save his ass, let alone Ole Miss in this one.

I still remember when Quinn was the annointed at the beginning of the year....only to be torn down later that same year.

You dont want to be annointed at the beginning of the year, its at the end of the year that counts.

jamarcus was good in college bc he was 270 running down field and he ran threw the first guy. and his throwing was good bc he launched it 80 and let the big wide receivers go get it. in the nfl he sucks bc there u actually have to have skill and accuracy haha

i think jacorys success is good especially against the defenses hes been playing. if they go 4 and 0. with the next two against tech and okla and he throws 9 tds with 4 ints (combined all 4 games) do u think that would make him any less of a heisman candidate? bc i mean its not like hes facing terrible or middle of the road teams. they are facing top ranked teams and i think 4 ints against 4 good defenses is pretty reasonable

If they beat Tech and Oklahoma - then we will be praying that Florida and Texas stumble, we don't, and we see them in Pasadena on Jan 7th or 8th

The bad thing about Cincinatti's success...

Their fans are claiming they are replacing Ohio State as THE premier program in Ohio.
