the first mock draft

There's been some talk that the Panthers are looking to trade up to get Brady Quinn. If so, I think that it would be a great situation for Mr.Quinn.

I don't agree with the Ravens' pick. Ozzie Newsome is amazing at finding rediculous talent in the dark corners of the CFB world. We also really have no need for another LB, although Ray Lewis may be down to his last few years now.

Ray Lewis
Adalius Thomas
Bart Scott
Jarrett Johnson
Terrel Suggs
--------------------
Gary Stills
Dan Cody

Not to mention a few that I probably forgot, as well as practice squad guys.

Personally, I would take Dwayn Jarrett over Ted Ginn anyday. While Ginn's returns make him much more highlight reel friendly, I think Jarret is better at getting open and has better hands. He's much more of an all around reciever and less of just a burner.

I actually think reggie nelson of florida goes earlier than 16. Don't see jarrett staying that long either.

There's no way Adrian Peterson lasts to the 9th pick. I don't care if he is injury prone. If he can stay healthy he might be the next Jim Brown. Ok. No he won't but he'll be pretty damn good.

I mock all mock drafts that take place before the NFL season is over and we know the draft order.

This one is pure nonsense.

This is bull. Troy Smith won the Heisman. That automatically gives him the #1 draft pick, a shiny new car, a shoe deal, and a Super Bowl Ring toboot.

Ginn's speed won't be so impressive in the NFL... everyone's fast.

Jarret will be a bust, I bet, but I'd much rather have him, also. Ginn hasn't made a single clutch catch in coverage.. does he really expect to get that open in the NFL?

Agree on Ginn, respectfully disagree on Jarret. After watching our game, its hard to imagine him being a complete bust. He might not be a star, but he'll be a solid player on some team somewhere.

Troy Smith will be making less money in the NFL than he did at Ohio State.

I like he shark going to NE. Perfect fit. I also see florida s safety going earlier as well as Jarrett. I think Jarret is the best reciever in the country. Johnson has never showed me much because of Ball the little QB that could not.

maybe that is because c.johnson didn't have a qb that could throw the ball.reggie ball is terrible. If you put johnson on a team with a qb he would be great.

I hear ya but I was at the GT/ND game and he did not look that good even against our d. He could not break away and ran sloppy routes. Then he got crushed by Duke.

I was watching tv and the announcer said the reggie ball was one of the only players he had ever seen in four years that did not improve one bit. I almost fell out of my seat. That is brutal.

This site was rated as having the most accurate mock drafts out of all the different Internet and print media last year, so I wouldn't brush it off as garbage.

And I know everyone wants Troy Smith to go in round 7, but at the moment there's a consensus of him being at worst a 2nd round pick. A lot will depend on how tall he measures out and his offseason workouts.

he's the same height as me. 5'-10". 5'-11" MAYBE

Yeah, I read your post on the other board. For Smith's sake, I hope he was wearing flip-flops or something and he's actually 6 feet even. Probably not though.

After reading these predictions, if my Giants have a chance to draft Michael Griffin or Paul Posluszny and draft Marcus McCauley instead, I will be really pissed...
