Tell me why im wrong about this...

Please, please, give me MANY reasons about why the following statement is wrong.
"This game has just shown that ND cannot win close games, has a coach who made the wrong calls and a QB as dumb as a dog. This is the last nail in the coffin of ND football, which has now just become a long lost memory, a black and white newsreel, a dead dynasty, a place, where no one can succeed. ND has collapsed, it was a long fall from the top of the mountain, and there were jagged rocks along the way, but now we are nearing the bottom of the pit. BK will just be another coach, maybe snag a 9 win season, but flame out, the process will begin again, and again, the stadium slowly grows empty, the old coffers dry up. Football simply becomes a history lesson at Notre Dame, and in 20 years, their records are eclipsed by other teams, other dynastys which have simply outlasted ours. it was an amazing run, but we made the wrong choices, and now its over"
Now, to keep my sanity, i ask, prove me wrong...

not 3 games, its been closer to 130 games where i have watched, and waited, and hoped, this is the only way to keep people thinking positive, i mean id rather have them argue in a positive way, otherwise wed all go crazy and change our profile pics to show how we got "robbed"

A few things lead me to believe that ND is headed in the right direction and have got the right coach.

1. Robert Hughes is now 4th String. Too slow and not a power runner, Weis didn't understand this, Kelly does.

2. Brian Smith, not a starter. Too slow, not good instincts.

3. Riddick moves to slot.

4. Our recruiting thus far(even if we don't sign all our current commits)

That's it off the top of my head. Small things I know, but it is the small things that will get you to the promise land!

how quickly people forget that this team has had to learn a new system on offense and our defense has depth issues and are learning on the fly cuz tenuta was a terrible coach.

this years team is much improved over last season. the season ain't over yet. i'm not happy we are 1-2, but i think we will bounce back.

keep in mind, ty and cw started off like firecrackers and petered out. so maybe, we need start off slow and build up during bk's coaching tenure.

It's a new coaching staff with a new scheme. Our last 3 coaches have been mediocre to bad. I seriously don't know why people overreact like this. BK is a proven winner he will get it done. Jesus Christ seriously people get a grip.

exactly. it's going to take time for our boys to get there. bk will get them there. i'm not worried. i'm not happy either, but i'm not worried.

Bandwagon fans?? LOL what band wagon would that be, the bandwagon of syracuse at home losing embarrassment. Seriously dude we are not they yankees or the redwings we are popular but very poor team and have been for a VERY VERY long time now. I don't think any regular posters and fans of ND football now can be considered band wagon unless it is the wagon of torture!

I agree with everything else you've said, but I think we've taken one step forward and one step back so far.

The good news is I think we're ready to start leaping forward, but so far there's nothing about this team that screams "better than last year."

We went 6-6 last year, what do you expect? 12-0? We've lost two games by a total of seven points, and one game went to overtime. Both of those teams are 3-0, and will probably be ranked when the next rankings come out.

It seems everybody is ready to send Notre Dame to the FCS. We still get great recruits, we still have great talent. We're under a new head coach, a new system (on offense and defense), and we lost our two best players from last year.

Honestly, I think it is best that younger backs get the reps. Armando is really not that great. I mean he broke a 20 some yard run last week and they pointed out it was his longest from scrimmage..................ever! Dude was supposed to be a game changer when he came here and he really has done next to nothing special. I think Cierre Wood will be much better by year's end.

Some people still fall in love with the recruiting.. Didn't ND recruit well under Weis?

As for those bridge jumpers, I say let'em jump!

Mistakes were made, show me a game which doesn't. I'm as dissapointed as everyone else, but thinking we were ever going to be BCS Bowl bound in the first year under a new HC/System, are serious signs of "headus upus arsus".

Hey guys, sorry to sound so glum in that post, lots of emotions and crap, i still do have optimism for this season, maybe i just drink to much koolade to be able to swallow a loss in this way, if we had just lost in regulation under normal circumstances, i wouldnt have gone off, but this one just really stuck me more than any other ND loss, (besides when i witnessed the BP) i think we can all show up tomarow and make some sense of this.

Fine, these are all good points but still man, this seems like a familiar song and dance. Wait till this and wait for that recruiting good yada yada............. I mean I hope it does get better because it is really just so frustrating to see the same thing over and over.
