Listening to Bob Davie - he would so like to do Tebow. He's making sound like he got out of a death bed - attached a severed leg - tucked a collapsed lung (that he'd coughed up) back down his throat and told Urban to keep the boys at home - he'd take of Kentucky today.

He's got 3 Ints and a few fumbles against Cha. Sou., Troy, and Tennessee (who's totally rebuilding). I'm not saying he's not thereal deal as a COLLEGE QB, but......

He's a wildcat fullback with a crappy release that won't work at the next level - not with pro rushers swatting at his low handling of the ball as he releases.

Tebow has heart, though. If ND struggles tonight at any point i will throw my Tebow jersey on to try and help provide some heart to the team. I donned the jersey all 2nd half last week.

Like I said - he's a fullback - and a great one at that. That take's heart. Could he be a Bus with wildcat ability????? But.... not a pro QB.

And I don't mean to be, or sound like, just a hater. I would be terrified if my team had to play him.

Bite your tongue!!!!! A Tebow jersey?!?!?

LOL, I liked the dude infinitely more after his soph year. Then he was rammed down our throats, and you can't help but be sick of him. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have my kids grow up to have his heart, personality, spirituality, etc. His "the speech", I don't care how many times it's overplayed, was simply fantastic and leadership at it's finest. And in the biggest game of his life, down at the half, he rallied his guys, made a promise, and went out and backed that shit up. Complete stud.

But he'll NEVER even sniff being an NFL QB. His motion is soooooo long, he'll never play QB. Plus he's never had to drop back. He'll be an NFL player, as a TE or a FB, but not a QB...

I would draft him for every one of those qualities you mentioned. He is one of those guys who just has "it".

And "it" was almost knocked out of him at the Kentucky game. Man what a hit.

Tebow got helped off the field after he got railed by a Kentucky guy. Hit was hard.

Like Phork said.

They just said that he left the stadium in an ambulance. That's not good.

Hopes for a good out come for Tebow - as for Urban - up by 24 with 1/8th of the next four year's 1st and 2nd round on the field.... and you are playing your star????? If it's a bad concusion.... Remember what's his name in basketball with Oklahoma (now destined to disapear in California's black hole of a basketball team) - he got whapped in the head and was out for a few weeks.
A few of those and you start having spells where you go around yelling like you are Rachel Raye.
Florida has a game next week and then a bye week.

From what I saw of the replay, I am more concerned about the popping of his neck forward. That is what breaks necks.

Prayers for the man and a speedy recovery. He is going to be hurting, maybe for life, after that hit.

Last night on sportscenter they were trying to play this off as a blind side cheap shot. For once Tebow gets smacked in the mouth and it seems as though everyone wants to be his f@#$ing mommy now.

Nothing cheap about it. DLine waits a lifetime for a hit like this. 31-0 at the end of the 1st quarter and yet Tebow is still in the game in the 3rd quarter. All I can imagine in Urbans mind when that happened was "OH OH".

Watching a debate on whether Tebow will be the same player when he's back - Florida should hope not. What? He was 5-10 with 105 yards in nearly 3 quarters against Kentucky. He has pretty predestrian numbers against Chaz. Sou. and Troy. A mediocre game against Tenessee. What am I missing? He's a glorified wildcat QB. And I repeat: He has 1/8th of the next 4 year's 1st and 2nd round assisting him. WTF do I know though?

I was thinking the same thing. It's late in the 3rd quarter and you are crushing Ky. Not only are all the starters still in the game, but Urbie dials up a downfield pass. I'm a fan of Tebow's and I hated to see him get blasted like that, but Urbie deserves to lose his QB for that classless playcalling.

not to mention he is sick! If his health is such a concern than what the hell is he still doing in the game? Dominating a game like that, a HEALTHY Tebow should be on the bench right? It is all about padding the heisman stats! It seems as though many coaches and players lose touch of the big picture. I hope this time it comes back to bite urban square in the ass!

If LSU beats Florida (ESPN already making excuses for Fla - trouble on O-line, Tebow... saying Fla could lose and still win Nat. Champ.) -but if they lose, they'll have yet to beat a team with a winning record - from any division. Come to think of it - Bama - played 1 team with winning record, same with Texas...

Now - ESPN is touting the SEC win/loss record against non conference!!!!!!! Charleston Southern, Troy, Florida It., North Texas, Missouri State, Louisiana Tech/Lafayette/Monro, Ball St., Jacksonville State., Tenn. Chatt., Memphis, Miami O, Florida Atlantic., Citedel, Western Kentucky, Ohio, Western Carolina, Rice.... Gotta be a fired up alumn to be carrying a ticket to the home stadium with one of those tickets in yor pocket - getting the blood boiling as you scream GO SEC!!!!!!!!! KILL 'EM!!!!!!

What do you say on the way to the car - "Man we kicked their butts!!!!!!!"

Hey, don't discount the fact that Charleston Southern is the UNLV of the South.

And that's what pisses me off. Mark Gay is going BLAH BLAH BLAH ND still has to win against a team with a winning record, well what about Florida?? I am come on, that is probably the leading example of bias and hate against ND.

In FL's defense (sigh) their opponents overall record to date is 1 winning, 2 lossing and 1 50/50. Still pretty weak, considering the one winning record is against Troy.

Can we put a fork in the Tebow myth? If he played for TCU, Iowa, Boise St., 'Bama - and his numbers would we even know his name? Julio Jones hasn't done anything this year - but had a good year last year - why isn't his name in he same sentence as Tebow's for he Heisman? 2 pick six's last night.
And, passing Herschell in TDs!!!!! Walker did it in what 27 - 28 games... Tebow played more games than that almost 1.5 - 2 years ago, and it took another 1.5. Imagine that team with Clausen, Locker, a true running back... Ingrem? Tebow is their shortcoming.

I'm with you JefMaj. While I wouldn't say that Florida is better without Tebow, I will that if Jimmy were having the kind of year that Tebow is having, I'd be pretty pissed off. I thought Jimmy's numbers against BC were a bit pedestrian and he threw for two more TDs than Tebow and twice the yardage. I don't even think Tebow has thrown for 1000 yards yet seven games into the season. He's averaging less than 150 yards a game passing. He's had four turnovers in the last two games, two that have resulted in scores. People who have him on a Heisman list have absolutely zero credibility.

I was thinking the same thing. How can anyone in their right mind have him in the Heisman race??? He is a fantastic leader, and a player I would take on my team in a heartbeat. He is a winner through and through.

HOWEVER, this year, his numbers suck. This is supposed to go to the top player in college football, not the QB of the top team. 2 years ago, he deserved to be in New York. Last year, he deserved to be in NY. This year, he doesn't even deserve to be MENTIONED in the Heisman race. Take out his BS numbers vs Troy and Charleston Aouthern, and against the SEC he has 3 TDs and 4 INTs. Those are not Heisman numbers.

I am very interested to see what the 'experts' say now...

I think a lot of what people start to think about the Heisman is that it should be awarded to the best player on the best team in the nation. I hate that, although I think the team should be top 25 at worst. If it was the best player on the best team in the nation, give it to Terrance Cody of Alabama. Yeah, like that'll ever happen.
