I'll take Denson, Ferguson, and Brooks.

I know Brooks overall career numbers don't really match up to the other two, but his season really stands out. I've said it before and I'll say it again: His spinning, tackle breaking touchdown run against Michigan (during which he was knocked unconscious at the goalline) is the most awesome, most cock-diesel run I've ever seen.

Not one vote for our only Heisman winning running back......John Lattner?????

I've also heard more than one knowledgeable person say that Creighton Miller was the best back ever to play at ND.

Then how can you pass up the legend......George Gipp.

Of the more modern day backs, I would vote for Bettis & Ferguson.
