Sarcasm about that being the reason, but I literally did that.

Not a stalker, a 17 year old kid who loves Notre Dame football and recruiting.

1. ND works a kid up into an excitement. ND pushes and gets committment while iron is hot.

2. ND says that they have been burnt before, so no backing out or visting or talking with other coaches.... or the offer is pulled.

3. Kid has time to think it over.

4. Kid (1) stays in fear of losing possibility of ND scholly opportunity or (2) stays to stay and keep word, or (3) eventually leaves (which we may see later).


Lloyd notoriously tells kids to think about it before committing. This decreases chance of decommit (although it happens).

Weis pushes for the quick commit and then hopes to keep kid by imposing "rules" that seemingly decrease chance of decommit.


IF this theory is true, who would you want recruiting your son?

Ha! Weis stated pretty clearly (publicy, mind you) after signing day his view on backing out of commitments, and reiterated it a few times. This is just a bunch of crap from jealous UM fans.
