Super-hero movie summer

I'd like to see more real movies that require some imagination, instead of sequels and knock offs. I do like Robert Downey Jr as Iron man and I like the Batman movies so far. Call me crazy, but I think Tina Fey would have made an awesome Cat Woman.


I lose a few hours of a day off whenever I'm flipping through the channels and The Godfather or Forrest Gump is on.

I run a theatre with a 3D IMAX auditorium. We have gotten our butts kicked this weekend. Wouldn't be surprised if this grosses $190 million this weekend.

For all of you near IMAX theatres, get out and see Avengers in that format ASAP. 70% of the IMAX screens will be changing their title to Dark Shadows starting next Friday. The one week run for Avengers in IMAX is ridiculous, but IMAX negotiates these deals, not the theatres, months in advance.

Just got home from the Avengers...deff worth checking out it was a blast.....im very excited for the dark knight rises and prometheus as well as the hobbit

Def looking forward to Batman but honestly skeptical of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman..

I have a theory that Catwoman is really Talia Al Ghul. (*edit-Ghul's daughter)
Bane is chosen to replace Batman as Gotham's destroyer by Ghul.
Remember that was the original plan in the first film.
That's how he knows his secrets.
Bane was possibly one of Ghul's men on the train in Begins and was so badly hurt he needs the mask thing to survive.
Nolan probably kills Wayne to end the trilogy... maybe the guy from Inception and 50/50 takes over as Robin/Nightwing.

Interesting theory. I have heard that this movie is based off of the Batman Knightfall and batman No Man's Land grpahic novels. I'm currently reading Knightfall to get ready for it. I dont know if a Nightwing alone movie would work though but I always related to the dick grayson character since I was a youngster so I would check it out if that happened.

I do think they based Begins on Year One and Knight on Long Halloween.

I don't think they'd make a Robin movie, I just think Nolan kills off the Bat.
He probably wants no reason/chance to come back.
Although a "retirement" then Frank Miller's Dark Knight future story would rock if Nolan was on board.

Begins was based off year one. I see what youre saying with Long haloween with the two face stuff but I never made the connection myself between those two just because long haloween had a lot more to do with the mobster families in Gotham rather than the costumed villians but I do see where youre coming from just a bit.
