ND's at 88 with the addition of Speights (Agoro and Grunhard I believe are just spring semester schollies). Wonder how they get to 85. OL, DL, RB, and WR have an abundance in numbers so maybe we see attrition from those areas.

Minor nitpick, but I think you mean Assaf, not Agoro. TA is trying to grad transfer somewhere.

Also, if we don't get down to 85, anyone know who's scholly goes first between those two and Bertrand? Because I feel like both of them might have larger roles this year than Bertrand.

Bertrand isn't a walk on though. I know he waited on a scholarship spot to open up but he's a recruited scholarship dude and if BK's model along with ND's model holds up then he's got a 4 year scholly unless he transfers or gets in trouble. And thanks for clearing up the Assaf one. I get them confused sometimes with names. Agoro was a nice player for ND.

Assaf is the other guy with the spring scholarship, not Agoro. Agoro's in the transfer portal. FWIW, I don't think we've offered him a 5th year.

One of the "extra" players has to be a RB one would think. We have 6, 7 if you count Assaf.

That's what I figured, just wasn't sure.

People with connects inside the building: do they know internally who's not coming back on scholly that hasn't been announced? Does the staff already know how they'll get to 85?

Not asking for names. I know speculation on this is against board policy out of respect for players.

So I dug more in regards to Assaf and Grunhard. Grunhard, according to II, will be on scholarship for the 2020 season. Assaf, according to BK in April on Colin Cowherd show, said he’d be on scholarship, “this year.” You can take it as, this school year or 2020 but I’d assume 2020 if he wanted him back for a 5th year. So now that realistically brings the scholarship count to 90 on June 4th which is interesting. Certainly some attrition that’s going to need to happen.
