2 hour bus delay. (and no, I'm not the one needing the bus ride)

So....I guess I'm stuck here with you foo's.

If it's like this in Cleveland, maybe hell did freeze over?

Were getting hit here in Dayton also. Not a bad morning to sit at the computor drink my coffee and wait for the semi to get here with the delivery. They already called said they were running behind because of weather. Another tough day at work for me.

I need a new job like that, my new one will probably suck untill I can move into the office or engineering department. What is it that you do Stoney?

BTW there's a 2 hr delay for most of the schools around here too.

I really don't do much at all. I ask people for money, and they give it to me. It's easy, and I seem to have plenty of time to goof off. I luv it. Plus, I'm damn good at it, which means my wife can't give me crap. Teehee.

The young man from Ky. you think his momma was watching and turned to daddy and said that's your son? Or did she say my baby makes me so proud he's on t.v.?

so how much snow is actually on the ground. there's no such thing as 2 hour delays around here. there's never been one. and they barely cancel school. i live near canada, by the way.

We've got 3-4"right now and it's still snowing. Besides here in Ohio the schools like to give teachers extra days off every once in awhile. So first it's 2 hr. delay. Then they cancel school. Or if the kids are already at schoolthey get out early. Gotta protect the young folks. Seeing how it's the first snow of the yr people seem to forget how to drive on it their will be accidents all over for the whole day.

We never get snow in Chattanooga. I think we may have gotten 3 inches in the past 5 years.

My parents live in Richmond and said they had about 4-5 inches this am.

I feel so sorry for these poor, deprived SEC children. They don't have any snow memories. Like remember when you were little waking up in the middle of the night with those yellow snow plow lights flashing in your room? I would look out the window at the streetlight to see how much snow was actually fallling. We rarely got school canceled but you knew recess was going to be a Large Good Time.

I remeber when I was in the 82nd Airborne we had like 2 inches at Ft. Bragg and they shut the base down. But the neet part was all the guys who had never seen snow before. Man you would have thought we had 10 ft. the way some of them acted. But once us boys from the snow states showed them how much fun you can have in the snow the party was on. The only thing I couldn't figure out was why none of the Sgt.s or Officers would come outside while we were having our snow ball fight. :whoknows: :krazy:

Last year it started flurrying during reading. Big fat flakes. I told the kids to drop what they were doing and get their coats on. We went outside and they were running around trying to catch snowflakes etc. It only lasted 5 minutes but they loved it.

Then my grinchy principal sent out an email telling us to remember why we are here and refrain from "extra recesses".

If it snows again, i will forget that email and head outside.

We in the Chattanooga area get more ice than snow. I wish we would get about 6 inchs this year.

If our area forecast calls for snow or ice, everyone in the area goes to the store and stocks up on bread and milk. Why bread and milk I don't know.

Cause that's what the channel 5 news shows people doing. So then another 300 dumbasses feel the need to do the same.

The real important storm items are beer and chicken wings, everyone knows that.
