Is terrible. After being at the game and watching it a second time b/c i taped it he looks even worse, and it seems that the dbs had chances to make plays when locker floated some passes but no.

He has really regressed from last season. Harrison Smith has looked shaky, but it was in doubt for awhile if he or Sergio would be starting safety opposite McCarthy. The entire secondary, other than McCarthy, has been mediocre. They will turn it around.

To be fair, Kyle McCarthy is the only defensive back that's making anything happen.

I honestly believe the starting corners should be Blanton and Gary Gray (who has done great in his limited game action).

I have always thought Gray would be great. I guess we all thought we'd have lock down CBs this year though in Walls, Blanton, and McNeil. The fact that they are all struggling, along with H Smith, makes me wonder. At this point, I'd start Blanton and Gray though.

Gray was in much more this last game...I bet we see Filer, Motta, Gray more after the bye week.

Brown plays very timid.
If you watch all the bubble screens, he runs to the blocker instead of through him to the ball carrier.

Awful coverage, lots of penalties, great special teams., will make and let up big plays..you know something exciting is going to happen when hes in the game

Ya but serg never gets to the qb and when he is forced to cover which he is more than you may think, he is awful, half of the middle of the field, down field shots were because of him. We made an adjustment putting Manti in while toryan was getting beat all the time, now it is time to make one for sergio.

Our DB's have been playing bad no doubt. However, they are left playing soft zone coverage behind a blitz package that NEVER GETS HOME!!! I dont care who it is, if there is no pressure from the blitz, big plays are going to happen. How about some aggressive bump coverage? Why not be more upset about the play of the front 7 rather than the back 4?

The secondary was supposed to be our huge strength this season. They were supposed to make up for some of the inexperience on the defensive line with some good coverage.

They haven't met expectations.

sheesh....even the best DB's can cover for so long. if the QB has all day to pass, eventaully he'll find the open guy.
