Here's the deal, if I get inside info, I can't be precise as to who and where I got the info from, it only ruins my credibility with them, I am more concerened with their trust than yours...

You don't have to take it as truth if you don't want, just take it as more rumors just like everyone else on this board...no harm in any of that.

If this is information you're not supposed to be sharing, then why are you doing it? You want their trust, but are betraying it as you type these posts. If you were really concerned about their trust you wouldn't be sharing.

And, why would we agree to a deal with the Gator Bowl if the Cotton Bowl is still considering us? When it comes down to it, every team will make a financial decision. The Cotton Bowl will be more profitable and ND, just like everyone else, will go after the money.

i've predicted gator bowl all along, but i dont come on this site saying i am a coach or extremely close to the organization before i make those statements. pretending you are something your not to make yourself feel cool is pretty pathetic

I agree with you, which is why "putting your neck out there" and saying its the Gator is no giant leap of faith. And in the end if the Cotton bowl swallows ND he can say it was a last minute bamboozle.

Not being rude. You should have seen what happened to a guy who came on here claiming to be a former ND kicker. Whether he was or not, it came across as total BS. If you don't provide evidence and just claim to be "close to the organization" it sounds completely contrived and, quite frankly, like you are full of shit. Lots of people get on the internet and claim to be something they are not. Happens all the time. So don't be shocked if a few people call you out when you don't bring any evidence or anything of substance. Just do some research and find out what kind of stuff "Kopka" had to put up with. If you have some basis for your claims, great. If not, you are doing nothing to help the flow of info.

i understand on occassion we get people coming here who claim to have inside information. But those people act in a way that is obvious they're trying to be know-it-all glory-hogs. i don't get that impression of zoo. he has 4 posts claiming info; he's not exactly trying to become the information guru of IE.

zoo shared a few pieces of info, that if come true should support his credibility. some of it, like the secret recruit, we know a little about. but also understand that this recruit really wants to keep his plans silent, so its doubtful anyone who actually knows his identity will be allowed to share it.

consider that if you treat every person who comes on here like zoo and kicker20 were treated, before they have a chance to prove a track record, you are going to potentially scare away the few who might actually have inside info. i think it's worth waiting and seeing.

SoCal - My intention was not to offend anyone. You know I try to be positive and I don't get profane or insulting. But this guy is not bringing anything substantive to the discussion and claims to be an "insider". When kicker20 posted, he actually had some insightful posts - true or not - that brought discussion and/or debate. This guy just seems to post with a "I know something you don't know" vibe. If you bring that, you are likely to get questioned. If you bring information on here, shouldn't it be open for debate? Unfortunately, his posts contained nothing for debate other than a discussion of his credibility. Therefore, that is going to be the fodder for future posts because there was nothing else included to talk about.

If he has opinions or theories to throw out and, in the course of doing so, he makes some of the claims he has made, then we have some thing to discuss. If he comes on and says, "Coach Haywood took all his stuff and left today. I know because I have close ties to the program." There is no opinion or subject for discussion there, only conjecture. So, of course, his credibility will be called in to question.

Didn't want to offend anyone, just a little curious about zoo's source of information. I won't question these things anymore. Anyone should be able to post with impunity.

kicker20 was abused until 2-3 weeks into posting. and most everyone questioned whether he was who he said he was. (except for Dennis Green, who said "kicker20 is who he thought he was.")

i'm not saying people can't be skeptical. but at least give the dude some time to prove or disprove himself.

OCIrish - what a beautiful day! My future in-laws (who live in South Bend) have been in town all week and they've been floored by the weather. It was snowing 20 minutes from SB when they left, and it was 90 degrees here when they arrived (in mid-friggin November!!!), with smoke and ashes filling the air from the fires. Unreal. She's kind of cute, but I am much more of a weather purist - Johnny Mountain is the guy for So Cal weather reporting, in my opinion. Dallas Raines is too oompa-loompa like with his fake tan and teeth whitening for me. And Fritz Coleman is just a douche.
