I think the reason liberals use the word "ignorant" to describe people is because of the "I don't need to be educated on the subject as long as I know what my pal Rush thinks". The word just sort of, i dunno, fits.

If you read the koran or actually knew anything about islam it's that it doesn't say convert everbody or kill. Just like the Bible doesn't actually say that God hates gay people. Take is as you will. The Islamic Jihadists are very comparable to the extreme bible thumpers that bomb abortion clinics, except the Jihadists live in a more disorganized place and as a result, can have a bigger impact on the world. Saying that muslims just want to kill or convert us is like saying that all americans are exactly like rosie. It's not true, in fact, only a very slim percentage of people see things her way, but if they're extremely vocal about it, like rosie, and if they act on their beliefs, it's going to come across differently.

I really don't think i've badmouthed the troops, and if i have i really sincerely apologize for that. Several of my college buddies were in the ROTC and are in Iraq now. I support them and think that with their given resources and leadership, they're doing a bang up job. However, saying that dissent is great as long as you don't disagree with our foreign policy, to me seems a contradiction in terms....

I don't recall Stoney or me claiming that the bible says "God hates gay people". I think you're generalizing again, b/c you're correct God does NOT hate gay people. God hates sin...all sin (& we all sin)...regardless of severity.

No one said all Americans are like Rosie, either. In fact, I agree w/ you in that most Americans are NOT anything like Rosie. Ironically, she'd be executed immediately in Iran for being a lesbian & probably be punished for speaking against her gov't, too. We don't do that in America, nor should we.

Your last line is ironic in that you're describing the liberal mantra: Freedom of speech...as long as it agrees w/ the left. If not, it's deemed "hate speech". Example: OK to bash Chrisitans & Christianity but you can't say anything negative about another religion or it's hate speech. OK to discriminate vs. white males, but vs. persons of other races/sex & it's hate speech. OK to bash or blame America, but do it vs. any other country & it's "mean-spirited". A maniac murders a helpless elderly woman & it's deemed a crime...the same maniac murders a young gay man & it's a "hate" crime. Hate is hate regardless of the recipient. Let's not perpetuate the ills/wrongdoing of our forefathers by doing the same to others in the name of retribution for past sins.

Finally, I don't think you badmouthed the troops, so no apology necessary. I would encourage you to check out the video on irishunclebill's latest thread about the troops. It sums up what most of us feel & should be echoed through the mainstream media, but unfortunately will never see the light of day.

I wish the Iranian students and younger set would rise against the effen radicals and make the whole thing moot. I know we are trying to get that to happen.

I think you're genearlizing again. Who said God hates gay people? I agree, God does NOT hate gay people. God hates sin, any sin (incl. mine) regardless of severity. Comparing jihadist to abortion clinic bombers is quite a stretch. Yes, they're both reprehensible in their actions & do so in the name of their God, but I think Muslim terrorists have been responsible for more mass murder than the combined loss of life at the hands of anti-abortion activists, vegan terrorists, PETA, David Koresh & gang & any other fringe group you want to add. Now if our leader were a member of one of the aforementioned groups & preached their beliefs w/ death to all who disagree, you may have a case. But I think that was just a cheap jab at Christians.

And I think we all agree that only a few share the beliefs of Rosie. Ironically, Rosie wouldn't last too long in a country like Iran. She'd be executed for being a lesbian & I'm pretty sure they wouldn't tolerate her criticizing her gov't, either.

Your last line is interesting in that what you say seems to be the mantra of the liberal left. That is, "we believe in free speech, as long as it's speech we agree w/ & approve". In other words, it's fine to bash/hate Christians, but it's "hate speech" to speak ill of other religions (specifically Islam). It's a crime when a maniac murders an elderly woman; but it's a "hate crime" when that same maniac's victim happens to be a minority or a homosexual. It's fine to discriminate vs. white males, but don't say anything negative regarding those of the opposite sex or another race or you'll be black-balled from society as an intolerant bigot.

Finally, I personally don't think you "badmouthed" the troops, so no apology necessary IMO. I don't have a problem w/ your points of views or opinions...I just don't agree w/ all of them & it's perfectly fine that you feel the same about mine. But please don't assume that I label the ENTIRE Muslim religion as bloodthirsty terrorists b/c then you sound like the Rosie O'Donnell's of the world. As for the peace-loving Muslims, it is imperative that they take ownership of their religion & do something about the faction that makes up the radical jihadists. As one former Jihadists said, "If Muslims keep denying the terrorist sect, the world will slip into further turmoil."

Anyway, in last week’s rant, O’Donnell focused on World Trade Center Building 7, which has become the grassy knoll for 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Asked if the government was responsible for its collapse, she coyly replied that she didn’t know. All she knows is that it’s “impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved” and that, for the “first time in history, steel was melted by fire.” Wink, wink. For the record, fire can melt steel, and buildings also collapse when heat weakens steel. But that misses the point. The point is we shouldn’t have to argue with crazy people.

Getting back to the fact that Rosie is a superbitch, who should be muzzled at all times..it seems apparant she dislikes not only Americans, but Christians as well. How can anyone truly tolerant (or suggest such) watch her and the show?
