Ya know, I've been reading the board for the last two weeks without posting, just kind of removing myself but keeping track of it all....I've got a lot of respect for you IRISH fans, you guys seem to get all the media negativity and take it all in stride, it would be easy for any fan of any team anywhere in the country to pack it in for the season, but you people are diehard fans, I liken myself as a buckeye fan to you Irish fans, if OSU would be down, I'd be pissed but I wouldnt jump ship like most of you all wont....Keep it up, trust me guys, in a few years you wont even remember this season or point to it as a building block!!

This is why I respect alot of schools and Ohio State is one of them, although very roudy fans and some of them can get ugly but for the most part they are respectable and know how to show it. While I appreciate Buckeye's kind words and I think he's the exception to the rule...he just gets it, I think you're giving Buckeye Nation too much credit. Perhaps I'm jaded living here behind enemy lines, but I'm not on board with this notion. Hell, I've had my lawn and house spray painted with OHIO State bullshit in the past, most recently after the Fiesta Bowl appearance...and just the other day, two Notre Dame flags and the Ireland National flag were all stolen from my front porch. People are constantly screwing with my car, burning my ND car flag off with a match or something...

In summary, the Suckeyes can take a flying leap...I have no respect for those morons.

As I said before, Buckeye...I said you were the exception to the rule. You get it...you're a fan of college football and I can appreciate that. It's the other 99.9% asswads spray painting my house and lawn and ripping my flags that has me in an uproar.

I'd love to sit down with ya anytime you're in the Cleveland area, have a drink and discuss college football with a knowledgable football fan as yourself...

Sorry to chop logic here, but I think you mean that NOT all Buckeye fans ARE like that. If you're saying that ALL of them AREN'T moronic hooligans, then I can present plenty of evidence to the contrary.

I would also have to agree BB, of all the forums i have ready you have a very faithful fan base especially dealing with your current Football season. I will say i'm not in the least a ND fan but for what it worth ND fans have my respect to endure probably the most bashing i have seen and still be looking for the postives. I would say keep your head up it can only get better...

And for Herecomestheirish, i would think about moving.. lol Still think that most Buckeye fans that i have come across are very respectful. With the fans base OSU has there is bound to have morons... But i can see where you are coming from..

Agreed. As I have said, I've always seen the respectful side of OSU fans, but I'm sure (positive, actually) that there's a darker, more asshatlike side. If you have the second largest student body in the country, you can't help this. I have just personally had some good experiences.

I have to agree...I live behind enemy lines also and 99.9% of Buckeye fans are a$$clowns. Buckeye is an exception to the rule but lets not put all buckeye fans in his league. I live about 30 min east of Columbus so if you do not believe me bring your ND gear and lets go out for a few drinks.
