I'd like to hear your opinions on "Red Shirting"
Is "Red Shirtng" a thing of the past?
If a college player is very good and the NFL really wants them, what are the chances of a college team having them for a fourth year much less a fifth?
How many really good college players stay and play a 5th year like Andrew Luck?
I feel, due to much better coaching and conditioning, college players are going into the NFL much more prepared and ready to contribute and compete as rookies than in the past.
Aren't some of the players coming to us out of high school more prepared and better conditioned than in the past?
My thought is, if a player is truly exceptional, they'll be competitive earlier than in the past and we should capitalize on their abilities while we have a realistic chance at having them instead of trying to save them and hoping they'll stick around. What do you think?
GO IRISH!!
