Ok I admit I may not be the smartest person on earth, and that I may have smoked myself retarted but WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF???????

So let me get this fucking straight. Donte Stallworth gets fucked up drunk, goes to his car, gets in his car, drives his car, and hits and kills someone and FUCKING GETS 24 DAYS IN JAIL????? WTF WTF WTF WTF???? Can someone please explain this to me?

Michael Vick get 2.5 years in federal prison for fighting dogs, and Stallworth takes an innocent human life and makes some poor family miserable for the rest of their lives and he GETS 24 days in JAIL?????

Our justice system is so FUCKED UP its pathetic. If I did some shit like that (I dont drink much) So I'm gonna say I'm HIGH AS HELL instead......If I did some shit like that, They would toss (Thats not the only thing they would probly toss either with a pretty bitch like me) me behind bars for life and throw away the key.

As you can see this disturbs me alot. Anyway if you have thoughts on this please let me know because hey, maybe I'm just blowing this waaaaaaaay out of proportion.

Anyway I gotta run, I guess I gotta go talk to this girl name mary jane or somethin.

Um, i think i saw somewhere that the family of the victim and Stallworth negotiated outside of court. What I make of this is this:

Stallworth: Hey family of the person I killed, I'll give you 10 Million dollars to not sue my ass for vehicular manslaughter...
Family: "F" You man, Bump it to 15 and you got a deal.
Stallworth: Man you are twisting my arm, but I guess 15 Million is nothing cause I make 5 Million a year, and I would rather pay 15 Million than go to jail for life...

I've got to agree on this one. It's a sad thing when something like this happens, and all the man gets is a slap on the wrist. I hope his family can bring some sort of civil suit against him and clean him out. Maybe the NFL will suspend him for a game or two. What a joke.

Gooddell will probably suspend him from training camp and 2 preseason games. Something stupid and worthless.

Well I suppose you have to consider the circumstances... Yes he was drunk, that in itself is a grievous error.. Since I know nothing about this case I am going to make assumptions here... Did the pedestrian walk out of no where? IE, not at a cross walk? There is all kinds of mitigating factors here.. The fact that he was legally drunk, which is of course actually a lot different than being blotto, is kind of secondary here... Because I have seen several cases where some guy walked into traffic and was struck and killed.. No charges were laid because it was determined the driver couldn't avoid it..

Playing devils advocate here, I personally can't stand the "star" treatment..

The biggest hurdle at trial might have been that Reyes, 59, was not in a crosswalk when he crossed the causeway to catch a bus home, though Stallworth admitted he had enough time to honk his horn and flash his lights at him.

Would they be able to determine if he had time to avoid him if he was drunk?

If he wasn't a pro athlete, it wouldn't have been the same. Which is complete BS.

Money talks in this country. Just like crooked CEO's and corrupt politicians. If you can pay you get a slap on the wrist. This isnt new.

money does talk but the Media controls everything in this country. Had the Vick scandal not been on every television in the country for 2 - 3 months solid, His punishment would have been much the same. The media drives the economy, the justice system, everything.

The media followed it because they and the DA the gov, etc were getting hit with emails, letters, and phone calls from dog owners across the nation. My wife and I participate in a dog rescue group and I can speak to the level of activity.

His punishment would not have been much the same. It was a case the authorities would have liked to have dealt with quietly as is often the case. But as I recall different jurisdictions got involved as the hue and cry was heard at those different levels.
