I just don't trust a running QB to stay healthy. Especially one who has accuracy issues.
Luckily enough ND has two mobile QBs on the roster.

We've seen Rees be accurate. He got happy feet from getting pummeled. Hendrix will have similar issues after taking a pounding over a whole year.

Where in the hell are you getting "accuracy issues" with Hendrix? He threw some gorgeous passes tonight, passes that Tommy has consistently been unable to make. He threw one high ball that led to the int. Other than that, he was remarkably accurate for a kid "who doesn't know the offense" and was getting his first meaningful playing time... against a top 5 team, BTW. Accuracy issues my ***...
Well, hold on now. The stats never tell the full story.Dismantled is probably a little strong. He completed less than 50% of his passes(11/24), and ran for all of 20 yards. He looked promising, and ready to get some real action, but he didn't dismantle anyone.
Look, Hendrix played well tonight but he did have a tendency to throw the ball high and completed under 50% for the game. He played well and he did have some accuracy issues (nothing horrific, but maybe a release point tweaking).
+++++1I will not accept someone saying he has "accuracy issues". There's nowhere near enough body of work to make that assessment, and what he did tonight doesn't even lead you to think he does, anyway.
+1 nice workThe battle is between Hendrix & Golson. Having a non running QB in this offense is killing the team. So long Crist, your contributions are noted, have a seat Tommy your red cap is over there and thanks for keeping the team on track for 2 winning seasons in a row. Others we'd be bankrupt of recruits.
Stats don't always tell the story. Several of the incompletions were intentional throw aways, others were drops. I'll say it again - The kid was getting his first meaningful playing time, and it just so happened it was against a top ranked team, to boot. He was remarkably accurate considering the circumstances. I will not accept someone saying he has "accuracy issues". There's nowhere near enough body of work to make that assessment, and what he did tonight doesn't even lead you to think he does, anyway.

He threw 2 bad balls all night threw 4 great balls in his 1st legit time on the field i dont understand what the hell he is talking about. The pocket broke down sure he got sacked but also showed some elusiveness that in itself gives us a better chance 2 win. He put the ball on the ground, but then fell on top of the damn thing which is a lot more than I can say for either Tommy or Dayne. I thought he played great for a RSfresh no complaints from me and there should be none from any of you either well done ANDREW!!!
Oddly you are doing exactly the same thing that you always complained that the Rees supporters were doing.
All I am saying is that any logical observer cannot label the kid with "accuracy problems".
1 in first half into the chest of a LB over throw in second that was picked. 4-5 of those were throw aways a deep ball miss to floyd the toma diving attemp the eifert drop not his fault put the ball where his guy had a shot and the d didnt i was impressed with his play sorry u werent.Dude, he was 11 of 24. He threw more than 2 bad balls. I was impressed with his first meaningful game time, but it's not like he looked awesome.
why not?
It might of well have been his first damn game SMHwhy not?
Taking out his sporadic appearances in the first half, can you please name all of these bad passes that you saw? He was under duress all night, so unless you count purposely throwing the ball into the stands to avoid a sack a "bad ball," then the interception is literally the only really poor pass he threw in the second half.Dude, he was 11 of 24. He threw more than 2 bad balls. I was impressed with his first meaningful game time, but it's not like he looked awesome.
didnt i was impressed with his play sorry u werent.
REPSIf Hendrix's all-around play didn't excite you tonight, then football is not the sport for you.
How do you reckon, sports fan? The only thing I am saying is that you cannot label someone with "accuracy problems" after one half of football. A half of football that actually was pretty good, and, against otherwise illogical assessments, pretty accurate considering the circumstances.
I'm not saying he's the next big thing. I'm not saying he isn't. All I am saying is that any logical observer cannot label the kid with "accuracy problems". Its absurd and embarrassing.
Because the kid consistently threw the ball with tremendous zip into places where his receivers could make plays on the ball?why not?
Read it again JA (and the d didnt i was impressed with his play sorry u werent.) STILL SMHAnd I'm sorry that you have reading comprehension issues. I specifically said that I was impressed.
hitting under 50% is inaccurate, period the end.
Because the kid consistently threw the ball with tremendous zip into places where his receivers could make plays on the ball?
Goodness, kmoose, you are either a talented troll or a completely clueless observer.
Could you be completely wrong more times in one post? I don't think.Facts are that he was inaccurate tonight,... but hitting under 50% is inaccurate, period the end...
Just for the record, less than 50% is never pretty accurate. Sorry.
Because the kid consistently threw the ball with tremendous zip into places where his receivers could make plays on the ball?

The reasons have been laid out before your eyes in this very thread, and numerous times at that. And you appear to be a presumptive hothead. I was looking for a reason why we should overlook his <46% completion percentage. If asking people to back up their contentions is clueless, then I guess I am.
