I do believe in this football program, even more so now that Evan came into the game. Next week is the time that the Irish stomp on the Bruins. Let's go boys and girls there is still a lot of football left. Let's give it up to them.....
Franky,
Franky, this team is going to Hollywood and it will be more of the same.
All I know about ND football is what I see on the field and read on this and other forums, but it seems to me the staff is bringing along the great athletes too slowly. They are treatiing the newbies like newbies and protecting them too much by keeping it too simple . When you treat someone like an idiot you get an idiot response. Let the best knock heads, fly for catches (Golden Tate), throw the ball downfield. Let the nasty athletes get nasty at practice and learn by experience, not the chalkboard or meeting room.
One good thing I saw that might not mean much to some is the celebration with Brown and Crum on the sidelines. This goes beyond X and O and shows athlete and coach working for each other. That is the "X Factor" that wins games.
This team has some greatness waiting to unleash. Might take a couple more games though. Remember, this is essentially an old high school team playing against some of the better teams in the country. Maybe someone can do an age comparison of the Irish starters compared to the teams they have played...
