Bahaha come on man they are just children and should be treated as such. Plenty of top NFL players done much worse in their youth

They are old enough to know right from wrong. You are now not trust worthy and now you made the university look bad.

Parents need to step up and handle this as well. But they won’t.

But they were being recruited by UCLA. They should have had a staff member with them.

Of course if this is true.
As as blame outside of the kids, it is probably 50% on UCLA and 50% on Rose Bowl Stadium Security tbf

If true none of them should be allowed to play college football.
There are adults in this game, right now, making millions who should not be allowed to coach. If we wanna go this route and play this game, I'm all in.

Hell of a lot of job openings would occur if we drop that hammer.

I was thinking the same thing that he didn’t mention his wife……or his players. But I do have to say that his intention is in the right place.
You would expect an "I'm staying" statement from Deion Sanders to be different than the pack.

This is certainly not your token "I"m not going anywhere" soundbyte.

Prime on the kids who stole CU and UCLA items. Pretty good stuff.

“Let’s not crucify and punish these high school kids, okay?” Sanders said. “Whatever the punishment that comes along with it, alright, let that be that… community service or whatever it is. Let’s not abort the rest of their opportunities and lives because of a mistake. Because if we were to really do a roll call of mistakes at the age of 17 and 18 in here, I’m sure everybody would tip out of here with their head down like we’re in church.”

Funny he is singing a different tune now.

I don't know about you dickheads, but I epitomized the very essence of sainthood in my teenage years.
This sounds stupid but in eighth grade or so I loved throwing snowballs at cars. They were basically iceballs. And man sometimes these cars were just 10 feet away and we would whip them. No fucking way there wasn't dents in the cars. Some of the cars slid out. Some drivers stopped and ran after us. Nowadays, I am sure there would be lawsuits for damaged cars. At the time we were crying with laughter. It was fun. Boys, especially, do stupid shit when they are young.

After all the talk, he must take the blowback & I suspect he will.

What was O/U on wins according to Vegas pre-season? I suspect he can hang his hat on matching or exceeding that. Similar to ND‘s disappointing season where Vegas had their O/U on wins as 8.5.

A lot of money and hype went into this program. Year 1 netting, most likely, a 4-8 season. Definitely a step up from 1-11, but a deeper dive of the Pros and Cons seems prudent.

One aspect I look at is the games they did win. TCU and Nebraska are middle of the road 6-6ish type teams, CSU is not very good, and the conference win was an OT win against a average team at best.

It’s too early in his career there to think they are a success or failure, but I’m sure the spin will attempt to focus on the positives. If they go only 4-8 next year I think the experiment will begin to turn against him.

And to those that would argue this year isn’t on him, you can’t give him credit for the way he built this team and then absolve him as somehow claiming this isn’t already his team.

Just saw a quote with him saying “this is the toughest stretch of my life” … just shows you cannot win with just playmakers. You have to build the OL/DL to compete!!
