Please join with me. Im not Catholic. Im Southern Baptist. And I know that we all need Him, every hour, every day. But we are all living in a fallen world that is strong with fear, mistrust and lack of love.

Lord Heavenly Father,

Lord thank You for this day that you have given us. Lord for the blessing of life, when there are many others who did not have it today. For the blessing of health that YOU ALONE have chosen to give to us and our loved ones. For the blessing of comforts, despite how often we complain when our degree of this changes. Lord for the blessing of the Time of Small Days when things slow down and You give us apparent time to reflect on Your love and devotion to us.

Lord, we know that you work for Our good, whether we can see it or not, in all things. Lord, Your Word says that Your thoughts are not our thoughts and our ways are not Your ways. But we are to trust in You in all things. That we are to take both hands off the wheel, off the world, and put both hands firmly on the Cross.

For we NEED You Lord. Every hour, every hour, every day from since time begun through eternity. For Your Word says that the grass withers and the flowers fade, but Your Word lasts forever.

Give us strength Lord to see Your wisdom in our lives. For us to have a life dependent upon You and not bank accounts, job satisfaction, health or conditions. For what You do, You do to firstly bring honor to Your name and also for our good.

Lord let us today and always keep our eyes on You and off this world and its false promises.

And Lord, please allows us to remain at Your feet.

At a time like this It would be amazing If everyone came to an understanding of faith again.
Fear of understanding what we are encountering and the gospel of the greatest book ever put into words has something to be said in today's day and age.

For all that pray, please add a mention for one of my cousins and family. A lot of ups and downs this week with tests and stuff, and confirmed today brain cancer. More tests to come, but likely a situation that's inoperable and could degrade quickly. Still hoping for the best, but the latest info is a gut punch. Thanks in advance.

Perhaps a useful mention for some: each day I pray a "rosary" sometime during that day's first half to get perspective for the rest of the new "Now" I've been granted.

It has made-up "decades":
1. Thank You for Your Creation that You have given us;
2. Thank You for my physical vessel;
3. Thank You for my Soul;
4. {The Big One} Thank You for Love ... and Freedom and the chance to freely truly choose to Love ... and thereby to live a Purposeful Life;
5. Thank You Holy Spirit for always being near.

For a while it seems to raise up my better self, even though I inevitably fall down again.

And in the late evening, I say a "barrage" of night prayers, all aimed at health and joy for friends and family, and thanks for the "Now" that I was gifted.

Within that, thinking of all who are parts of my life and all who need special thoughts finds plenty of opportunity to be mentioned (and, getting old that means a long list.)
