When I proposed to my wife we were still at ND, and I wanted to do the whole grotto thing. But she was on to me and so insisted that we go sit in the back so nobody could see us. When I got down on one knee, busted out the ring, and proposed, she said "Okay", grabbed the ring and put it on her own hand, and then said "Now will you please stand up?"

Not quite what you were looking for, but still pretty funny IMO ...
