Mendoza said, “It was a disappointing game and I know you’re feeling bad about yourself, but guess what? We’ve got another (expletive) game. Quit (expletive) moping around and let’s get after it.

That Mendoza quote above, I don't understand. Why are these coaches using expletive words towards our players. Last time I checked this is college football and not the NFL. These kids are on scholarship and not getting paid a single dime (although their schooling is getting paid for- the Notre Dame degree). The team doesn't deserve to be talked to like this and I think there are better methods to motivate.

Seriously? You ever played organized sports in high school or college?

My high school basketball coach could make a long shoreman blush with his vulgarities. He once told me I was playing like a fucking pile of puke and that was when I hung 30 on our cross town rival in the last game of my senior year. I then went to college and played D1 for a coach that never swore. You know what? Just never seemed right when he yelled using word like "darn" "dang" "crud" and "poop". Give me the profanity. Fires you up sometimes. I'm sure the boys are tough and can handle an f-bomb or two.

Hey, maybe you missed the post but nowadays there is crying in football. The cussing probably gonna hurt some feelings. "Even though we lost, everyone's going to get a gold star for a sooper-dooper job well done and we're stopping at Diary Queen for ice cream sundaes with sprinkles on top."

i know they are having fun but it has always just seemed to me like they do what they want, whenever they want, no discipline. RJ screams all the time and gets beat all the time, I don't understand it. just my thoughts.

i realize that these are college athletes and they should have fun, but i agree with you chyrsp. there needs to be a level of focus when practicing. you practice like you play, and by the looks of our defense on pass plays during real games.....it shows they don't have the focus to be successful.

You can hear Michael Floyd yell, "Ya'll still suck dick!" after Blanton is beat on the deep route by Evans. You can also hear Golden drop the f-bomb near the end of the video.

God, if R.J was on my team, I'd strangle him. He's so loud and annoying.

I think R.J yelled "Ya'll still suck dick!"

I think that's a tough assumption to make based on 3 minutes of practice footage. These guys practice several hours a week, and we get to see just a few minutes of it. If the entire practice was strict, focus-driven, tight and the players aren't allowed to joke around and have fun, then you're right, they'll play that way. Tight and not having fun.

There has to be a balance.
