Deny him one more time and you will be done here. Or something to that effect.

If Wood got more carries I would have given it to him. Did he get hurt or something? Everytime he touched the ball magic happened. He averaged 3 more yards per carry than AA. Either way I love our running skills!!!!

DirtySecret, are you serious? How can you not know who Cierre Wood is? Didn't you see him in the game today?

just thought gray and walls were great today...finally saw both of them give us what we've expected out of them all along...both did a hell of a job

I was sitting pretty close to the ND bench and Cierre Wood was REALLY beat up about that fumble. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't put him back in because he had little confidence.

Wood is going to be a monster.

I had to vote POTW for Gary Gray... nice solo tackles in space; got the job done when needed. His stats don't lie.

If Gray & Walls play that way for the rest of the season, we'll be in great shape.

Went with Walls, and like ACamp said, I felt this during the game. Anybody with the ball that went near him was tackled, and with some force to it. I couldn't believe these were the same DBs we saw last year. Awesome to watch.

The only thing that disappointed me was when they were 10 yards off the ball and the receivers were catching little hitches with no one around them. Hopefully the coaches will adjust to that (I saw them play up on their guys several times in the 2nd hlaf, which was good).

Loved the post game with Walls and Allen. 4th and 5th year guys that have to lead their respective sides of the ball. I went with Allen due to the big punt return, consistent pass protection, and obviously running the ball (how good did his TD run look?...OL and Floyd included)

Gray and Walls were great too, tough choice. I just hope Gray is back next year.

darrin walls got toasted on both deep balls
floyd was the potw, crist just didnt get him the ball
gary gray was potw on defense
teo looked awful
crist looks pretty clueless and not accurate-hope it was first game jitters
bennett jackson and ruffer should get special team game balls
allen is clueless about picking holes,he actually ran away from holes and into piles 4 or 5 times
cierre wood is avg, below avg speed
tj looks like a good poss receiver
zack martin played well
taylor dever not so well
rudolph is overrated, good 7-8 yd poss recvr
didnt see eifert at all
ethan looked good in 2nd half, ian played pretty well also
calabrese is major coll talent
i hope teo was really nervous, he missed about 6 tackles in the first half alone, and his anticipation is marginal
slaughter looked pretty good
h.smith omg, freshman please

if crist gets more accurate, the 3 wr's are pretty good, so should be able to move the ball on most teams.still dont have alot of speed on offense
defense is pretty bad,
smith, fleming, and neal are god awful, please get them out
smith's 4th& 1 play on mavre was depressingly bad

team speed is still bad
need olb's badly
de's almost as badly(lynch and rabasa are great starts-both are really quick off the ball)
need 3 corners badly in this rec cycle
need a wr with dynamic speed
hegarty will start on day one, dever is marginal, going to be a big problem all year

8-4 is realistic, 9-3 if crist improves dramatically

You are an idiot. Defense is bad - is the only thing you made any good on. Marve killed us on a keeper and so did Henry. Robinson will smash if we don't figure something out. Wood Average. Rudolph overrated. WTF. As far as Crist. Coach Kelly will have him squeezing the ball into tight spaces. Jitters were evident. Over cautious. Teo was good. When he finishes the play he'll be great. He was always right in position but several times he over committed early. But he caused the ball carrier to go where he did not want to. Back into the defense and the damage was minimal. Although Gray & Walls looked good on run support. They looked suspect on coverage. I hate michigan worse than anything in my life. But they have the potential to show us how bad our Defense really is. We better have a good week of practice. We better figure out what to do with Robinson. We better get Michael Floyd more involved.

Did he beat himself up or did the coaches beat him up?

I voted for Walls.

Defense gave up ONE touchdown yesterday. Easy to nitpick. This was least offensive defense and therefore the best defensive effort I have seen in YEARS. Tomorrow may be another story, but yesterday was fantastic.

That makes since. He's gotta learn to suck it up next time. It doesn't do his
team any good focusing on one bad play. Especially when he made so many dam
good one's. I still feel he should have had more touches. How was the atmosphere
at the game?

He's beast all the way!!!

How bout a vote for that idiot Robert Mavre. For all of the fits he gave us in play action, his boneheaded somersault cost Purdue any chance of getting back into that game. Thank goodness Zeke Motta covered up that KO fumble, but field position was ours after that penalty.

Hard to vote for a center for POTW, but how about the game Braxston Cave had? That kid was a BEAST in the middle!!

Simply due to the fact of how many times you heard game announcers saying the name of the center tells he played pretty well. If this is an indication of how good he might be, our "skill" guys are gonna love having the middle of the line controlled by this guy!

Gray was tough.

And I saw him at Chili's after the game, so he gets my vote.

I voted for Gray, but Chilis kinda sucks. He deserves better. Anyway, he's been one of the ones I expected to excel, and it's good to see. Gray will be a force this year, and Walls too for that matter. Love to see the CBs come up and drop the hammer.
