Riddick rules.

If by rules you mean gets tackled by the first defender he comes in contact with, then yes. He has his bursts, but his consistency is nonexistent.

Wood > Riddick > Atkinson

scrolling at the bottom of ESPN The Lead, ND remains undefeated with a controversial goal line stand in OT. This is beautiful.

My dad (ND class of '75) said that was in his top 5 best games he has seen at ND Stadium, and he's been at ALL the biggies! WHAT A WIN.

So cool to see GameDay, the atmosphere on campus was amazing.

It's cool that you love Cierre. You should take it easy on Theo though... dude brought it tonight.

During the game, you called Riddick "garbage." I don't think its ever appropriate to call ANY of our players names like that. Even if he has a poor game. Theo came up with some big catches today and was a major reason we won.

Is this goal line stand better than one they had against Washington in 2009? That is debatable

Yes. Bigger stage.

Although Washington 2009 was a crazy game.

In the 2009 game they had to do it twice because they roughed the center. Doing it twice in a row especially going up against a big quarterback in Jake Locker is VERY tough

We did it three times. Once in the third quarter and then the two you mentioned.

You know the D was thinking "we are not going to give up our touchdownless streak on a goal line stand in OT! BRING IT"

It's great having 2 big time QBs bak there.

Don't get y everyone's surprised by Rees getting it done. Always has, always will. Hope my man Ev gets back ASAP.

True, but like I said, the circumstances make this one better. Even more so because it extended our streak of not giving up any TDs. But that game was crazy - it was pouring and the student section was going nuts.

Haha totally forgot about the roughing the center call. What a ridiculous penalty.

Classy. My thoughts exactly. They weren't my thoughts last year, but definitely now. Circumstances dictate our need. And we've done well with both tag teaming. Two headed monster. EG is learning and I have high hopes, and I'm very thankful TR is here to help bring it home. Can't wait to throw Gunner in there to mix it up. I think competition, and ultimately team-first mentality is driving this team to elite level.

...Golic had a terrible game, as well...

Golic definitely had some bad false starts. However, to channel Dennis Johnson: he is who we thought he was. He's great at run-blocking, and an agile puller. But he sucks in the passing game and gets some bad false starts. So don't let a few poor plays tonight detract from what he's good at.

No one said that the kid couldn't play. He had a terrible game, though. You can't just discount the false start penalties. Those are yards that he cost the offense. We only ran for 150 yards as a team, so it's not like his run blocking added a crap-ton of yards to the offense. He's got talent, but he had a terrible game. It happens.

C'mon now...it was 2 for 10 yards. I mean, c'mon...I'm not going to go through all the mistakes, but there are o'plenty to go around.

Slightly off-topic but everybody's on here: Does anybody know where I can find a link to watch the "Onward Notre Dame" piece they aired before the game?

Can't afford the mental mistakes at OK or USC. That said, I was more PO'd with Hurcules's whiffs. He's two strong and fast to let that happen to him. He should have destroyed those guys like he did the sled in practice.

Three false starts in one game is killer. He'l too intent on getting a good jump on the snap count.

Hopefully a week of practice and Kelly in his ear can clear this up.

Goody's tweet was a great demonstration of how this team believes in each other. These guys really do seem like family more than any team I've ever seen. The way they rallied around Manti makes me love this team even more.

Anyone who was at the game want to shed some light on what the atmosphere was like in the stadium? It sounded like it got pretty loud at times.

It was awesome. I was in the upper level and probably stood for 65% of the game. Crowd was loud, students were awesome as usual.

My dad was impressed with the crowd noise, said it was like the good ol' days of the smaller stadium in the 70s and 80s.

Music makes a HUGE difference on 3rd downs. (3rd down and ND kickoffs are the only time its played) Tastefully done, and lets the band play a majority of the time.
