I am surprised that I haven't seen in this thread any apologies from those absolutely crucifying Diaco in previous threads. Can anyone point me in the direction of said apologies???

Had the defense we've seen in the last two games been in effect since the start of the season there would have been no criticism and we'd be undefeated. It is the business of critics (and/or alumni) to be pointed and harsh.

I attended the Utah game. It was worth the 8 hour drive each way and, in spite of the rain, the game was a thing of glory. I was worried when the Black Knights "marched" down the field to kick a three pointer on their first possession as the Utes had done. It was refreshing, heartening and encouraging to see the defense step up.

I don't give a rat's *** if it's a matter of Diaco adjusting his scheme to the players available or the available players "buying into" or finally understanding his scheme. No apologies. Just bring it on, mutha trucka!

Ruffer is a great kicker but the real test is when ND will be down by one with 1 second left and the whole game is determined on him.

that is when the men are seperated from the boys

Let's hope that situation doesn't arise ... ND always in the lead from here on each game w/ 1 sec. on the clock and having the ball!

I think Kelly is in the right place and teaching the right things. We have now held two teams to 3 pts. We are stopping them on Defense and moving on offense. We are no longer giving away 11-14pt leads in the 2nd half and losing by 3-4 pts in the last two minutes. I'm getting more confident next year we're going to see a team we haven't seen in a long long time.
