I've shown class, but I'm tired of defending a win. Why should I have to? We won and all we had was apparently one trick. I find it ironic that the week leading up to our game many on this board said that *insert Irish defense man here* would hurt/break Denard and he'd be out for the game, and who ends up getting hurt? Now it's all; 'if we had Crist it would of been different'.
I think BK will turn this program around, you've got loads of talent and he's a great coach. I also think he made the right call at the time with the half time field goal, he knew he had a great shot for a TD and didn't know how Crist would be.
I think that you are getting a bit defensive. I gave credit where credit was due and said that Michigan deserved to win. But, clearly, ND is a different team with Crist on the field. If you don't see that, then you are truly seeing through Maize-Blue colored glasses.
Most of my comments (and others I think) are not necessarily trying to take anything away from Michigan, but really meant to settle down the ND faithful after a tough loss. While one player typically does not make or break a team, Crist may just do that for ND. ND would have won with Crist on the field the whole game. But, s**t happens, and he wasn't, and we have to move on. But, it doesn't mean that we can't temper a tough loss with the knowledge that as long as Crist stays healthy, this ND team is going to be highly competitive this year (unlike recent past).
