If Weis called two running plays and we lost you would be on here bitching about how Weis blew the game with bad coaching. You would be complaining about how Weis always likes to sit on a lead and our run game sucks. Weis went for the jugular. He wanted to end the game right then and there because the defesne had been struggling to stop the spread and it bit him in the ass. If our players had stepped up and played like veterans this game would have been decided much earlier.

BINGO!

BZZZt. Sitting on a lead, like last year, meant DOUBLE DIGIT leads well before the end of the game. 2-3 minutes to play means milk the clock and kill the timeouts.

I think we have the wrong type of team for the collage game; we need a running quarterback (remember Tony Rice? or Jarius Jackson?) who can make easy throws. A pro type quarterback with lead feet just doesn't cut it in college except against out-maned teams.
We don't need to be a farm club team for the pros.

No, I wouldn't be. You don't know me well enough to make that observation. Hell, I didn't see you here at all last year. Weis called bad plays at the end of the game. If he wanted to throw on third down, fine but he needed to run on second down.

Players step up and play like veterans? Who is that on? Whose job is it to coach them up and get them ready to play games?

There are a lot of people on this board who need to quit looking for moral victories and scapegoating the refs. 16 losses in 2 years + 2 games. There are no more moral victories, this a junior laden team losing to a freshmen QB. Why is it when JC was a freshmen everyone was yelling that he's just a freshmen....guess that's not a problem for Tate Forcier or Matt Barkley.

This is not a moral victory. No one is saying it is a moral victory but you justwant to scape goat someone and give up the season when there are still ten games left to play. As for Matt Barkley and Tate Forcier those aretwo completely different situations. Now Your comparing apples and oranges.
