If you have been watching the games and think that Cole Luke has been playing well or is having a "good" season, it's you that is drinking the koolaid.

He's horrendous with a splash of "well, every blind squirrel finds a nut" this year. Watch the Duke film, my friend.

Dude, get a grip and read the post. You've already admitted (in other threads) to posting before actually reading, now it's just getting pathetic. It's making the board sloppy as hell, as you just jump posts/posters without actually digesting what is being conversed.

I didn't even mention Cole's name. Nor did I infer he was playing good. I responded to a post that stated, we only have two players that can make individual plays. Which is completely untrue. So, I explained that.

However, to Cole, though wildly inconsistent has made several big time plays. They aren't mutually exclusive. A lot of sports is about the difference between talent and consistency. Trying to find the players that have both and if not, which is cherished most.

I've read in a few places the past few years that Navy is allowed some "football" exceptions for their physical requirements, particularly in terms of the weight restrictions for their linemen.

I wonder if those guys playing upwards of 275 are expected to lose that weight in a certain amount of time once football is over for them or something.

Yes and yes.

Definitely some physical exceptions. The Navy people I've spoken to are adamant that everyone is able to drop weight for their testing but there are some 300+ pound guys on their roster that's hard to believe it's really possible.

The more controversial issue, even among Navy folks, is stashing academic exceptions in the NAPS (Navy Academy Prep School) in Rhode Island. That's been unpopular in some circles.
