Alabama gives up big plays. I think our QB would have his way against their secondary and they are without a signal caller.

FSU has "the best player in the county"...my ass. But he is good, although idiotic. It will be a tough game in their backyard but they will get beat eventually. I'm banking it is against us.

Team I'd least like to face is Oregon at this point. They score a lot...it'd be tough to keep up with them plus their QB may be the only one that is as good as ours.

Sorry to pick on u but "no signal caller"? Go ahead and look up Blake Sims' stats yesterday.

It sure feels like he does.

I think KVR would put the clamps down on him. Sure wish we had him.

Still, he's a receiver...when was the last time the best player in the country was a WR?

'Bama "killing us" is just dumb. They give up big plays and their O-line is suspect. Plus, that QB someone mentioned isn't all that good.

My 2 cents...

He's pretty damn good. Doesn't have the ball in his hand every play though?

I think EG is better anyways, my opinion.

If it was a game of who has the single best player, then you might have a point. But here is where your contention loses all credibility: The worst starter(s) at Alabama are probably light years ahead of the worst starters at ND. It takes an entire team to win a game against the best, and we just aren't completely there yet. The arrow is pointing up, but we don't appear to be there. We've beaten absolutely no one. No one! Have we looked good doing it? Sometimes, yes; sometimes, no. We hammered Michigan while running for only 54 yards. Do you honestly think that we could have a total of 54 yards rushing against Alabama, and still win that game?

Ever heard of Amari Cooper? I'm not surprised you didn't notice that though if you think Golson would go in there and torch them. That shit would not happen.

You think he is better, more impactful, than EG?

OK...

I never said torch them btw. Words in my mouth, thanks Bluth.

I'm not sold on FSU. They're highly undisciplined and have a lot of holes. Clemson handed them that game and raped their defense with a freshman QB. Golson would pick them a part. He'd be a real problem for FSU. I'm not really sold on Winston either. I don't think his oline is very good and they aren't going to see a defense like ours. We're going to hit and rattle Winston often...he'll throw 2 INTS.

If we play a clean game with no self inflicted screw ups (3 missed FGs, fumbles in the red zone late in the 4th quarter) we'll win.

Oklahoma is the most dangerous team in the country IMO.

What is everyone's top 5 at this point. Not based on schedule or potential. Just what we've seen.

And if you put ND in there, your post doesn't count. lol

I haven't seen us against a good team yet so I have no clue. Syracuse is going to be a battle and if we win then we will face a team that is a good test to see were We're At.

Wow, I'm glad not everybody has started drowning in Kool-Aid. Just because the team has looked better than we expected doesn't mean we're all that good. Our running game has been pretty terrible, and the teams that our defense has shut down are all apparently pretty terrible. Rice is 0-3 and lost to some crappy school. michigan got rocked by Utah and is looking worse every game, and Purdue is Purdue. Can we get some perspective? I'm excited about this team, but to not be worried about FSU, or to think we can beat Bama? They have 2-deep 5-star recruits at multiple positions. Kelly got outcoached horribly by Saban last time they played, what makes you think that'll suddenly change? FSU will have their Heisman winner back, and regardless of his off-field antics, he's a stud player and I have serious doubts about our defense stopping him. Golson has looked great so far, but the competition has been worse than we thought. So let's pump the brakes and see how we do against Stanford first.

Where do you think this program is at right now? We're ranked 9, soon to be 8. Assuming EG comes back we'll be in the top of the rankings next year.

Not where you think we are yet. I am not even addressing next. I am talking this year. RE: Alabama... Henry and Yeldon would rush for 200+ yards based on what I have seen so far. Cooper is the best skill position player in the nation and they have a clone of him in White. Their DL is deep and nasty. There is a massive gulf in talent and depth on both sides of the ball between Alabama and us.
