Well... shit. Polian was, by far, our best recruiter. Not enjoying the direction this may head. Especially with Hendrix's potential wavering...

Polian leaving is a surprise, but if he gets a D-1AA HC job it is better for him. IMO, he was a terrible special teams coach but one of the best recruiters in the country. Hart should leave. I'll take Elston over Hart definitely.

He's going to bring in the Cincy staff. I'd bring in some in like LB, DL coach but I'd go offer Bud Foster(VaTech) DC 600,000 to come to ND. He's only making 400,000 at VaTech. Bud is a great DC and I don't like who Brain Kelly had as his Cincy DC.

It took Polian about 3 years to start making an impact in Cali. Now Kelly is going to bring in his entire Cinci staff. None of which have any recruiting clout. He isnt even trying to interview any coaches and says that he coaches players up and doesnt worry about ratings. I know that as a coach he should say that but i hope he doesnt seriously believe that he will recruit a bunch of 3 stars to Notre Dame and coach them up because we will be looking for a new coach in 5 years.
If we can't close on at least someone like Barr then i am going to turn into NDOM because i already hate what he is doing

Been reading that Kelly wanted to keep BY as a graduate assistant and he wants a coaching job. Could join Ianello at Akron which means the BY, Powlus, Latina and Mendoza could all be part of Ianello's staff. If we get outrecruited by Akron i'm gonna be pissed.

I am not happy at all because I have a VERY bad feeling he is just going to bring the whole cincy staff who have NO west coast recruiting experience!!! Polian should of been kept before anyone! If he does not bring in a NEW DC and just brings all the cincy defensive coaches we will be going through this same shit AGAIN in 3 years!!!!
