Pete Carrol???

I have always believed that Pete is NOT that great a coach. He has just overwhelmed people with talent. I think 2009 may be the year his weaknesses start to show. They look really vanilla on O and average on D.

I think any good coach could lead his troops most years. He has 5* after 5* player. I feel strongly that he is AVERAGE as a coach. Great recruiter, but who couldn't be in SoCal.

I am looking forward to our game with them.

Err he lost 8 players on D, his starting QB and has a freshman QB starting.. I say its a rebuilding year, but this team will be ranked 1 or 2 next year for sure. How about those Irish?

After watching how they closed that game today against a good Ohio State team on the road, I would certainly say that he is more than just an "average" coach. I hate USC as much as anyone else, but I do give props where they are deserved...and Pete Carroll just beat the #8 team in the country on the road with a true freshman QB. Hell of a coach...even better recruiter.

OSU isnt that good. they just played at OSU with a big ten officiating crew. hell im really surprised OSU didnt win just because of that fact.

At least he wins games. No matter who he has at QB or on D they when. Hell I wish we could when as many games as they do....... Barkley's 2nd game he came back and won on the last drive of the game. (He is going to be good) DON'T overlook SC coming to SB this year. I don't think we will be SC with the defense we have, Unless they play better at home than OTR..........

Who in their right mind would overlook SC? Its by far a game that will determine how successful our season is.... especially after this game.

Ohio St should have blown them out of the water but Sc's defense once again showed why Carrol is such a good coach. With that being said they do not scare me. As long as the team doesnt throw in the towel this year Notre Dame can win that game.

Difference between Pete and Charlie? Pete wins with a true freshman quarterback and Weis loses with a roster stacked with talent. Usc wins big game and Notre Dame doesnt. I would much rather have Pete Carol as my coach any day.

OSU is not going to blow anyone of significance out. Pryor can't pass worth a damn. Its great that you have supposed 4.3 speed, not that great when the USC game plan was to negate you running.
Carrol runs the Defense btw.

Pete sure as hell did a better job coaching his team on there last drive then Charlie did on his. I hate USC also, but any ND fan that says Pete isn't a good coach is an idiot. He would make us the #1 team in the country. He motivates, plays insane D, and nows how to call the proper plays when it counts. Also, HE WINS!!!!!
