This article is on the front page of CNNSI.com...and looks very damaging to me. How many of these stories can come out before recruits start wondering if they are true. I know it is just another Mandel Notre Bash session but the backlash of these type of reports/articles will happen. I think Mandel works for USC btw!

I think the recruits are smart enough to read past the opinions and notice that the bashing of other NFL coaches takes up only a paragraph or two, and thus the author must have an agenda against ND/Weis.

The facts of the lack of success are something they can see on TV on saturdays, so this article doesn't point out anything factually they may have not already seen themselves.

Remember, did the facts stop Jonas Gray and Michael Floyd from committing after we were 1-7? No, they committed in spite of that.

I'll take the recruits' opinion over a crying desk jockey any day.

Plus, I think this shows a complete lack of ingenuity and creativity by the sports writers. How much intelligence and creativity does it take to write stories that everyone else is writing? I call it bobble-head journalism.
