Coach Kelly and his staff really put together an outstanding recruiting class this year:

Amongst the 4 star signees:

Offensive line

Hoge
Ruhland
Jones (TE)

Running Back

Williams

Quarterback

Winbush

Wide Receiver

St. Brown
Boykin
Sanders
Guyton

Defensive Line

Tillery

Linebacker

Coney
Barajas
Bilal
Wallace

Defensive Back

Crawford

So Kelly and company landed at least one four star kid in each position group on offense and defense. Coming off of what could only be classified as a disappointing season. It ended well, but taken in it's entirety, it has to be considered disappointing.

So kudos to the staff for a job well done!!

But Kelly is lazy and would rather rub elbows at NFL party's. We'll never be better than a 7 win team.

Yep, good class. Wish we got one more safety, but overall it was a damn fine job by the staff.

A few points :

Looks like we got the best tight end, the best kicker, and the best center in the country.

The linebacker class is one of the five best in the nation, even by current standards that leave it very underrated. (The Indiana effect!) I have heard several national experts that say Josh would be a 5-star if he were from any hotbed area. And Josh and Asmar would be considered "prototypical SEC linebackers," anywhere else.

The wide receiver class has a trend besides size and speed. Many of the receivers, Boykin, Saunders, etc., made huge jumps between their Junior and Senior years. Guyton is almost a year younger than most of the signees. A recruiter clearly said that even though he dominated Texas 5-A ball, he expects that same jump in physical ability and maturity his freshman year at ND!

It may amount to nothing in the long run but I loved that the majority of these kids played for or won State Championship(s) during their HS careers.

Build a culture of winning by bringing in winners.
