OSU will win, imho. This is too big a game for Colt McCoy to win.

But, I think OSU will have trouble putting points on the board.. Texas' defense will be tough and OSU doesn't have a very good track record against strong defenses: last year they were Penn State and Texas. Troy Smith seems to have improved his passing game, but I still want to see how he reacts to the pressure he's sure to receive from Texas.

It'll be interesting and I can't wait. What time is it on? It's a night game, right? I hope it is, the Notre Dame-PSU game is on at 2:30 and I want to watch both.

I think OSU will be able to pass on Texas, but not run. I can't say how Texas will do on O against OSU because for 1. they didnt play anyone yesterday and 2. their Qb isn't proven yet. So basically if the Texas Qb is poo then OSU will play to stop the run and Texas will ultimately lose by 2 scores. However if Colt can hold his own it will be a tight one. Who would I like to see win? Well I'd rather see OSU win because after this game Texas plays no one and I believe OSU will lose to Michigan which will leave the Irish the only undefeated team in the country come January.
Now to you my friend...how do u see the Irish/ Lion game going?

the osu/ut game is the prime time game....8 EST

as for the ND/PSU game....i would like PSU to win becuase they're in the Big Ten, but i think ND will. The ND D looked pretty tough in the 2nd half, and PSU is breaking in a new QB. The O will easily handle the PSU D if they get everyone involved.

all great insight so far

I think OSU will win. At least I hope they win. Then when OSU and ND go undefeated and play for the NC, we will kick OSU's ass as payback for last year. We never forget.

Colt McCoy? RLFMAO, happens every time I hear that name.

So are there lots of little crackers in Texas named Colt? Sounds like something an agent would make up.

I like Ohio State in this game. However, it should be a classic just like last year's game in Columbus.

Ironically, both times I will be at a wedding reception.

TIVO is my friend.

Tough place to play for the Buckeyes, but if they harass Colt, they should win. That's just to good of a team for him to be up against. Let's face it, a scrimmage vs Texas D would have been more useful for him opposed to N Texas. I'm really pulling for the Bucks, Texas has a doggy schedule, the Big 12 blows, this is the only game they can lose this year. So if they win expect to see Matthew Mcconahey (spelling, don't care) and all the cowboys in there tight gay blue jeans, cowboy hats, and ugly shirts at the fiesta bowl.

I know it's cliche', but I think home field advantage wins this game. I think Texas can take pressure off their young QB but utilizing their strong RB's behind one of the best offensive lines in the country against a talented but green defense.

I agree: the Horns bust up the U$ele$$ Nut$ of O$U!

They were pretty even last year. Didn't O$U lose more players to the NFL? That plus homefield makes up for the new QB.

Mack brown - Vince Young = Lloyd Carr.

I'll take OSU all day in that one.

Nothing better than responding to my own quote..

Let's put it this way, if my hypothesis is not right, ND will have to go undefeated to be in the NC becuase UT's schedule is an absolute cakewalk after OSU. OSU will likely lose another one either at IOWA, or vs. PSU or Mich or less likely at Mich st. The Big 12 is a pitiful excuse for a conference IMHO.

Don't think it's any question that OSU will win.....I'm putting my money on Smith/Ginn versus the new kid behind center for UT.

Last year Vince Young went into Columbus and beat Ohio State on the road.

I think Troy Smith can go into Austin this year and win the game, but in a similar close game to last season.

Tough to tell when they just played NIU and North Texas.

My problem with Troy Smith and the Buckeye offense is this. Last season, their offense was anemic for much of the year. They really started to click late in the season, including against Michigan and against the Irish. But they have yet to put up good numbers against anything resembling a strong defense. Michigan was OK, but was really down last year. I want to see how Smith and the Buckeye O will play in Texas. It will be the best D they have faced since last year's Texas game.

No doubt.

But just about anyone who plays Texas will not have seen a better D than theirs.

This will be a great game. I think Troy Smith is the difference and OSU pulls it off.

McCoy folds under the pressure.

Defensive battle.

No Young.

OSU will win (as much as it ails me to say it).

In Austin........Texas has a juggernaut of an O-line and ridiculously talented skill positions. O$U won't win down there. Swead is gonna tear those new DBs up.

ohowihateohiostate!!! thats what michigan fans would say but as an irish fan I can totally respect the Ohio State football program. I think Texas overall is a better team and the Ohio State defense is suspect (see how many yards wolfe got for northern illinois). Texas wins but very close. Texas 32 Ohio State 28. Go Irish!

I dont believe that Colt is ready for the bigtime yet. And let's not forget, Mack Brown was lucky to play in that championship game anyway. Vince Young for the most part ran broken downs plays all year. That's why I thought that he should of won the Heisman. What he did last year with Brown calling play's was remarkable. Brown played the new game in town. Let see if the black quarterback can change my fortune's. Tressel and Paterno to name a few are other's who payed this game in the last couple of years. . I no Tressel one a championship. with a white quarterback, but nobody would say it wasn't Adrian Peterson who really carry that club. And let's not forget that Hamrick had to go through that nonsense of sharing Q.B. duties last year. Before Marcus Robinson they wanted Paterno head. Now he's Joe Pa who's gonna get his ass kicked this weekend. Viunce Young is lucky he not playing Wide Receiver this weekend. n

OH please... The OSU D is going to hound that little QB all over the field.

I am no Suckeye fan...but I smell a rout here.

Playing against 2-and-9-in-the-SunBelt North Texas is one thing. Playing against a team that actually understands the game of football and is filled with talent just as great as Texas'.

That's another thing all together.

They'll hound him all over the field just like they did against the NIU QB, eh? Not likely......prob the best o-line in the country.

Troy Smith is the difference here. This time around, Texas will only see one OSU QB, not two.

I didn't like betting against Vince Young and I don't like betting against Troy Smith.
