unreal. i don't think we've seen a shitstorm anywhere near as crazy at this given the timing (3 weeks from NSD), the schools involved (USC and Tenn), and the coaches involved (Pete and Lane).

Sources say Orgeron telling UT enrollees not to go to class » GoVolsXtra

1/13 Dave Hooker

Former Tennessee recruiting coordinator Ed Orgeron has contacted multiple UT mid-term enrollees and encouraged them not to attend class today so that they can easily leave UT and enroll at Southern California, multiple sources told the News Sentinel.
Orgeron, who joined USC's staff when Lane Kiffin was hired as coach on Tuesday, did not immediately return a text message from the News Sentinel seeking comment.
By attending class today, the nine mid-term enrollees, who have been at UT since Monday, would have to follow strict transfer rules, which include sitting out a year.
It is unclear how many, or which, prospects Orgeron contacted

I don't know if attending class is significant. They've already signed LOIs and enrolled.

No matter how much of this is true or theater of the mind speculation, I know this, the ugly in your face way southern cal has done this should make the NCAA dig real deep to have their ducks in a row to levy penalties.

This is pretty funny. I have a feeling that the NCAA will give USC a slap on the wrists. Something like no bowl for a year and 3 or 4 less scholly's

BGIF - I was listening to Mike Hamilton speak, and he said that if those players were still in the dorms as of 12:01am, then it didn't matter if they went to class or not. At this point, they have to request to be let out of their scholarship to avoid sitting out a year.

This is just unreal. I truly feel sorry for all the recruits who are being affected by these "men" who care nothing about anyone but themselves. Having a short meeting with players before you go on national TV does not constitute telling your players the truth. Now all these recruits from both schools have been told multiple things and they have no idea what to believe. Throw in other schools trying to poach them away and I can't imagine the confusion that fills their minds. Man, if I was a recruit to anywhere but ND, I would want to be committed to Penn St. At least there I know my coach is going to die on the field with my team.
