Yet again gets another undeserving BCS bowl.. They probably will go to the Rose and get smoked, same story different season. Aren't they 0-4 in BCS bowl games, currently?

There really isn't anyone in the Big-10 that would be deserving of a BCS game. I think that some of the problems with the BCS could be resolved if they just got rid of bowl tie-ins and selected the best eligible teams.

Purdue??? Navy almost took OSU who is OSU gonna beat in the Rose? Oregon? Stanford? Arizona? Sorry - you don't get to lose to USC again. Pac 10 is looking better than I imagined. Then SEC, then Big Least, and then the Big 11 and 12 get parting gifts along with ACC. When was the last time the Big 10 champ won a big time bowl game? We are not waiting for the universe... we will take it in our own hands. We have gone 21 years without our birth right Nat.Champ. OSU will commonly go high 30's without.

While you do make some good point, Jeff..............tOSU has a FANTASTIC defense. They can certainly play with most of the teams in the PAC-10. As much as I like the guys, individually, I would trade our D for tOSU's, in a heartbeat.

man i hate defending the buckeyes but their D is without a doubt one of the top 5 in the country. today was the second game i have been to this season and those guys up front get after it. Tressel ball is a simple formula, run the ball (225+ the last four weeks) + play great D+ win the field position battle= 8th BCS bowl aka the most all time!


As for T. Smith, he's backing up a guy named Flacco. I think he is playing ok

If Weis had half the success that Tressel has had I'd be happy. At this point I wouldn't mind getting the NCG and getting smoked. As it is right now the Cotton Bowl just left the building and the Gator Bowl is packing their bags.

Yes, Pork - it sucks, however, it's gonna change. Doubt you were around for the 49 years that UM was just a decent team (no NC) or the 38 that OSU was saying that making the Rose Bowl was a moral victory. If it didn't change... then even Tressell wouldn't have turned that program around. They are good program -not a great team - they beat Iowa. Were going through a bad spell... not saying superior to anyone... saying someone is an also ran doesn't say we are better. Is there an answer now... just firing a coach in this economy - probably not prudent. We are family... we make it work and eventually we either change and get better or we stick out the contract, or we try someone new. But, look how long teams go through changes - LSU 45 years, USC 32 years, UM 49 years, OSU 38 years, Texas 32 years I can go on and on.....
