Notre Dame recently had an agreement with Pitt to change around next years schedule, I believe in order to get a week off before playing USC at Notre Dame.

That is the same thing they did this year to sad results against BYU.

I agree with the move but it has back fired before. It can give us a game before we play Michigan in order to fine tune the team for the first big game of the year, which worked for us this year.

And keeping in mind N.D.'s outstanding record after a week off. It could mean breaking USC's roll over the Irish in the past couple of years.

What does everybody think about this new strategy of N.D. of changing the schedules around to give us an advantage over the hard teams?

Do you think we are saying 'we can not beat them unless we gat a week off'?

I think moving Pitt up was a great idea. BYU plays a diffent type of football which confused our dumb coaching staff, not to mention BYU the last few years has played great during there home openers. Plus we spent most of the summer preparing for Michigan, at least we were able to move the Pitt game up this year so we can prepare for them over the summer.

No I don't think so. I think it's a great idea, why give the other team (Michigan) an advantage. I'm sure that A** hole Carr is pissed about it....

I think each situation is different, but for the most part, moving games up and giving yourself an extra week to prepare for the elite teams (Michigan, USC, etc) is usually always a good thing. Regardless, it all depends on what transpires on the field, so you'll always win some, lose some.

The BYU game was a fluke. I fully believe this. Overlooking to Michigan or whatever the case, we simply couldn't move the ball against BYU for some reason. We were in their house, so I'll just go with their God wanted to win more than our God.

Won't happen again.

ND does need to do a better job with their schedule. Thus far, bye weeks and high ranked teams seem to bring the best out of ND. Seems like we should have more bye weeks and more teams in the top 10 to play against.....
