7 straight by the cuse as the irish are really turning the ball over a lot, don't know how they come back to win this game
Yes SU came out ultra physical and it appears to have worked. They are winning every loose ball.ND losing every GB and FO, flat out getting beat between the lines and getting no stops on defense. Ugly.
So they wrote the latest chapter on how to beat ND. We'll see it again, at least from any team that can play the physical game. I wonder how we'll respond. Have a week to let it sink in. Buchner, in particular, needs to step his game up. They worked him over. One of the more frustrating games I've seen ND play in quite a while. Can't win face, can't finish, can't get 50/50 balls, horrible officiating. Looks like Cuse came out physical, knowing they would get some calls, not caring about the others, and got in their heads. Just Ugly.
Yeah, we'll see what this team is made of the next few weeks. They have 3 games left: a bad uva team at home, a good unc team on the road and a bad penn team at home. They should handle the two home games rather easily. The unc game will be a coin toss. If they win out, they most likely could lose a game in the ACC tourney and still get into the real tourney. If they lose one of their next 3 games, they might have to win the ACC tourney just to get into the field! So they wrote the latest chapter on how to beat ND. Spot on, they lack a true QB and also lack a stretch shooter. They were playing better when Busenkell was healthy but are now back to what we saw against Ohio State and Maryland.Definitely just an okay game. They had a nice little adrenaline run after Ramsey went coast to coast, but their offense is really struggling. They just don't have anyone to stretch the field, and they're still expecting Kav to run the show, which just isn't working. McLane at X isn't working either. I would have never guessed they would still be trying to "figure it out" at this point and time of the year, but they definitely still are! It is nice to see Jeffery coming into his own...so fast, aggressive to the cage, and letting it rip!
i'm guessing they lost then, was busy most of day and didn't get to watchBiggest issue is the EMO woes. So many opportunities and virtually zero good looks.
Second biggest issue is turnovers and cheapies aiding a Penn team that frankly sucks on offense. This team is absolutely schizophrenic at times.
Schizo is not an understatement. These last two games good grief. They look terrible, then great. The thing is it looks like we are good enough to do it vs anybody. Not surprised we shut down the Penn offense in the 2nd half but their defense is good and we had our way with them after the break. Calcaterra thinks their goalie is as good as anyone in the country so getting seven in the second half was pretty impressive.Biggest issue is the EMO woes.
