any word on where this kid is looking and why his scout page has him with no offers? he is the number one running back, are his grades not good or is the page just not updated? where do we stand with him?

I dont think Devine is interested in ND. After watching some recruiting tapes of the nations top backs as a Junior, I haven't seen a better faster back . If I had to pick a back , it would be Noel Devine.

I figure it has to be his grades. you can have all the talent in the world but if you can't do it in the class then you are not quallified to do it on the field. What a waste if this is the case!

On top of grades, I do believe he has several off the field issues as well including fathering several children from various women, etc.

WOW. I heard there were issues, but I didn't know it was of that sort. I was expecting something along the lines of petty theft.

Noel Devine and Notre Dame go together like Israel and Palestine.

They couldn't touch him with ten foot pole. He'll end up at Miami or USC. Since USC likes running backs the way Florida likes wide receivers.

I don't think he's leaving Florida. Miami or maybe FSU because of Prime Time's influence.

You just never know anymore. I have to give the kid the benefit of the doubt, but when it comes to academics I raise an eyebrow. I don't know about his morals or character, but to me school is about effort. I had to bust my ass just to get "B" grades in high school and college. Some people are just brilliant and get straight "A" grades.

Then there are the people that either have genuine, legit learning disabilities and those that just don't try. They're lazy, apathetic and not interested.

I don't know which category Devine falls into, but I know his grades and baggage are red flags ND tries to avoid.

He'll most likely end up in JUCO. His grades are TERRIBLE! That's a shame, he is a tremendous talent.
