seriously you should not quit cold turkey you should cut down to half. Then one a day, then every other day, then week. Eventually you will not even like the taste. I used to drink cokes all the time now all I drink is water.

Cold turkey has always been the best way for me. I guess it just depends on your personality.

It is great if you can do it, cold turkey has been the best for me as well. I really enjoy ice cold water when I stop drinking soda. You'll lose a few pounds right off the get-go as well, it's wasted calories.

I give myself one day a week to splurge (usually Sunday). I get me 2 ice cold 24 oz. Pepsis, and that fills me craving for the week. No reason to stop completely if you really enjoy soda.

I gave up soda cold turk. around that age too... 28 now and never looked back...

:)

If you stick to it... trip out in five years when you sip a coke for the first time since and watch how much it burns your throat....

I just tried to drink a little less over a few weeks, and then eventually quit drinking it all together. It wasn't too hard for me though even though I really liked pop, especially the vanilla flavors, or cherry flavored colas, I also really like lemonade, Gatorade, fruit juice mixes, etc. As KPALAN said eventually you'll get to the point where you won't like the taste, and now the carbination makes me feel sick. You'll also probably loose some weight in the process too.

I don't drink soda too much. It feels like I'm mutating inside when I drink,
too much carbonation. My problem is coffee. I got a headache right now trying to beat this caffe addiction.

oh we're taking it further than that! who knows when this thing will end.

maybe i'll start blogging on this thread about each day of my life without soda.

here we go..

Day 4 - The headaches have stopped. I think it has to do with the couple glasses of green tea i drink. I really think i can get through this because right now, i'm not missing soda at all. I'm going to the Redskins - Jets game at Giants Stadium on November 4th and i'm trying to figure out what I should drink while we're tailgating. I don't want to drink green tea because that doesn't seem like a tailgating type of drink. Any suggestions?

Definitely fruit punch Gatorade. Only cross out the "gator" with a marker and write "Irish".

It's a grape on the "clear".

Versus the cream? I think I'm beginning to understand. But doesn't this taint the field of sports drinks? We should probably asterisk them.

This is my 300th post!!! =)
